I paint these Canvas Purses for a living, as well as alot of other things....horse equipment ect.
I use an acrylic "airbrush paint" called Createx. It soaks into the fabric more like an ink, and does not make the fabric stiff.. You really should mix some fabric medium in whatever paint you use. If your bag gets wet or you want to wash it later on it will bleed...

I like to ad some light blue when I paint things that are black..

Ive had this cowboy/ gunfighter drawn for a few months.. I  ran out of free time to finish it..
Ive been really intrigued with all the altered art stuff Ive been looking at, so this is what happened to my
painting this afternoon.. Its not glued or anything. I just thought it looked neat.. Should I decoupage and then paint my gunfighter or not decoupage..

Oh man dont do Blue carpet..
I have light blue carpet and I HATE IT..
I actually love the color blue, but blue carpet shows EVERYTHING..
