22  fluttershy in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jennythor on: April 04, 2013 05:06:09 AM
i was recently in the my little pony swap and my partner left it up to me as to what i wanted to make, and so i made her Fluttershy!!!
i worked through the pattern myself based on images i found online and then went at it
the only thing i'm not too keen on would have to be the painted eyes and cutie mark
given the chance i would have embroidered them instead  Huh

anywho, pics!

and a final shot

i made her a bit floppy and kid friendly
C&C welcome and appreciated

the wonderfully talented najaorama agreed to do a personal swap with me for one of her oh so sweet knitted dragons and this is what i sent her in return. she knew what i wanted to i had more room to play

he is inspired by petroglyphs of mammoths, i sent button eyes just in case she felt he needed them but i have to say that i like him better without eyes myself  Roll Eyes

29  Mariposa in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jennythor on: September 08, 2012 03:13:13 PM
hi its me again,
this time i have a few better pictures of my Mariposa doll
as i explained in my previous post, she is a variation of a therapy doll
things have been difficult in the last little while and i decided to try and be proactive while i wait for a new therapist...

her name is mariposa which in Spanish means butterfly,
i started her on the machine and finished her by hand
her clothes are all hand sewn and removable
i love that i can actually style and play with her hair.

C & C welcome

30  three new creatures! (wordy and pic heavy) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jennythor on: September 07, 2012 12:28:17 PM
hello again my lovely craftster family
here are a few of my most recent projects
(as well as a chance to try out the new photo thingy)
first up an order for a newborn baby boy
natural cotton and furry fabric, hand detailing with the embroidery

what do you think of him?

after that we have Zalzafraz: he is my house Goblin and protector of the inner realm.
my baby brother made me the bow and arrow and the sling for them as well.
he is started on the machine but then i did everything else by hand. i tried to make him pants as well but he refused saying goblins were above pants
so here he is in all his glory
and training  the house buffalo so he does not have to walk amongst the peasant cats

POSSIBLE TRIGGER WarNING
and finally two dolls that i've made as well, i've got people asking me to make some for sale as well. but these ones are more along the line of therapy dolls, the blonde i sent to a good friend of mine and the brown haired one is for me.
for mine her name is Mariposa. a therapy doll in a way is an outside image of yourself. things have been tough for me so instead of doing anything 'negative' and self harming i try and work it out with my doll, or make something for her. at first i was thinking of using her as a cutter doll, but once i had finished i thought that she was too pretty to hurt, and then i started to cry seeing as i had made her in likeness of myself... sorry if thats too much info. anyways. let me know what you think of my new work, and if you've made it reading to the end thanks, love and sunshine Jenny
