I've received! I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Murbeck really got my destination down as far as I'm concerned! I wanted my virtual vacation to be a deep sea diving exploration vacation! She really nailed it, and everything is crafted so well!

First up: The bag! It's FLANNEL! I LOVE FLANNEL! You were correct in your assumtion that I would approve of this, murbeck.  Is it made out of a button down shirt? I love how you saved the pocket!


Second up: A way cool awesome hat! "to protect your head from the cold harsh nights..." This most definitely will do the trick!

Just so you guys know, this is murbecks FIRST hat and FIRST circular needle project!  Can you believe it?! I never would have guessed if she hadn't had said something about it!

Third up: A chapstick cozy! With map fabric, I can navigate the high seas AND keep my lips protected from salty swells!


Fourth up: Straight out of the ocean... a mysterious sea creature in my fancy new specimen jar! I think he's just fantastic, and I do so love his little alien booty

Fifth up: A neat box to keep some trinkets from my travels in... maybe some other mysterious creatures of the deep can reside in here! I believe it's covered with the same fabric that the chapstick cozy is made out of...


And last up: A wickedly cool nautical thermometer, barometer, and humidity gauge! This is SO COOL! I can't wait to hang it up in my new apartment... It's going to go next to my shark poster

So, here's my deal.  Initially, when I read Oh My Goodbye's questionnaire, I was SUPER excited because her answers were so fun and inspiring.  But then, when it came down to it I couldn't really figure out what to make her that would pertain to her theme, yet not be junk that would just get tossed in a corner somewhere (I like things to have function).  Well, folks, I just got back from Goodwill and lemme tell ya something!  I am all set and ready to spoil her baaaaad!     I have my whole package planned out (nope, I haven't even started yet because I got myself in over my head with swaps and this is the last one on my list and I planned on crafting my butt off all weekend for her, and I am going to).  So anyway, I got some really cool stuff as well as just some really cool ideas based on stuff in there that was nice but I could totally make and make better 

okay, just had to tell ya'll how excited I am    Oh, and I also scored a pair of Oster dog clippers for $1!!!!!!!!!!  Okay, bragging done, lol

and barbolot- thanks for the extension! i was THISCLOSE to being done with my package, but this gives me some time to re-do some of the less than satisfactory (for me anyway!) things that were gonna go in my package... plus now i can find some super cool stuff for murbeck! 

things are progressing slowly on the craft front for me  some random things have been popping up that have messed up my crafting and i have just been kinda lazy... i've got all day wednesday off and most of tuesday and thursday off, so i should be sending on time on the 19th. tomorrow should be filled with crafting until i have to go be bored to death at work... standing in a fitting room telling people it is NOT the bathroom is really annoying.

wow, that sounds like a blast!     Where do you work???

Also, as I've written in a pm, I have no doubt that I will be sending late, but hopefully no later than Monday.  I will be working my butt off on your bag this weekend, I sketched out how it will look last night and I think it's going to be pretty fantastic... assuming I can get it to look anything like my sketch, lol

I work at a TJ Maxx... so people are kind of insane.  Even if it doesn't look anything like your sketch, I'm sure the bag will be GREAT!

Not anything bad... yet! They just end up walking in and then coming back out asking where the bathroom is... I feel like it's obvious it's not over there considering there's a big sign that says FITTING ROOM above where I am! But we don't have a baby changing table in the bathrooms so they have to use the family dressing room and sometimes I get left some stinky surprises...

wow i can't believe we already have someone who's received! that's crazy! especially since i've barely started, i feel like! i thought up a cool idea for murbeck, but i feel like it might be a little childish so i might nix the idea entirely... or just do it anyway as an extra... we'll see i guess! i'm still looking for the perfect fabric for the bag so i guess i should get started on some of the other things that are gonna go in the bag!
