2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / I have a bunch of jeans that don't fit! on: January 22, 2009 02:32:14 AM
So since Oct 2007 (the birth of our third son) I have lost approx 62 lbs ... now i have a bunch of jeans that don't fit.. I'd really like them to fit because really who has the money to go out and buy all new jeans right now (not me!)

could anyone tell me how i can do this?.. i'm sort of a beginner.. but i'm ready to take on the challenge if it will save me some money.. and if i fail.. oh well i'll use the denim for something else!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / I want to cover a big wooden table.. on: December 29, 2008 06:32:27 AM
I have a large (round) wooden coffee table that i got at value village for like 5.00.
I want to cover it with something.. maybe a printed paper on top to give it some punch!

what would i use to seal it?.. we don't really use our living room much , only when we have a lot of company over for a party or something.. i'd like it to be durable though because we do have three little ones in the house.

any advice is appreciated.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Our boys room.. on: October 21, 2008 08:29:25 AM
I found the bedding at ikea and fell in love.. even more so that there was a set in both bedding sizes we needed (crib and toddler)

The green tape is where the refinished armoire is... we stripped it and painted it mainly red with yellow doors

Birdy over the light switch

snake over the door

Aligator over baby's crib

ah.. here is a picture of the armoire... i still need to do the doors for the top.. lol and the baby is now 1 year old (this was done when i was pregnant)
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Just made a vinyl decal for our bedroom :) on: October 20, 2008 06:05:25 PM
I'm so happy with how it turned out.. i'm going to get more of the black contact paper and finish the vine near the door.. and do another area of the design by my dresser (on the other side of the bed).

let me know what you think..
this is our bed set.. what i used as inspiration.

Here is the main decal.

beginning of over the door.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Hat for our little one:) on: October 18, 2008 09:24:59 AM
I wasn't sure where to post this.. so i'll post it here..
I made this hat for our 1 year old.. we nicknamed him "Bear".. so i think this hat fits.
I had this older fleece blaket my mom gave me.. that i don't need/use.. so i made this cute hat up.. might make mittens too!
