Some silhouettes I did for my kitchen. They are of me, Dh, and our two dogs, a lab and a pekingese.

These were made for my friends' lil boys for Christmas.

This is the first time I have ever made any kind of gaming case, and I didnt have a DS to work off so I got the measurements online and winged it. Theres lots of errors but I like it none the less for a first shot.

The crayon toolbelt has one strap that goes around the waist so its easier for the child to fasten the velcro.

So this isnt too new or exciting but I am excited about it! Who doesnt need more places to put stuff?

I had this canvas fabric from a swap a LONG time ago and finally got a use for it. I plan to make a larger one for the frame soon.

Open off bike, it holds my keys and phone nicely with room for more.  I added a pocket but didnt line it as I didnt see a need to since its canvas and also just for my bike.





On Bike

This seems like a no brainer but I got a $70 dress that I am hemming to cocktail length and I am so worried I will screw it up. I already cut off what I dont need but how do I finish it? Its satin and the previous hem was almost like a serged bottom but not quite it was like ||||||| but really tightly close together, it wasnt a traditional folded over and sewn straight type hem.

Anyone know how to do this??

 

Hey All,
I need some help from the poets on Craftster. My DH and I are having a re commitment ceremony next month and I need help with this poem.
I made a wire tree of life for the cake topper and need a short quote/poem for the little card I am making for under it.


So far I thought,
Our Roots Run Deep
The branches Spread Wide ..

and then I get stuck after that, I know something about side by side would rhyme but it sounds kinda cheesy, I was shooting for something more deeper meaningful KWIM?
I even thought about just putting Our Roots Run Deep but I thought that too short.

Any ideas? 

ETA: I thought about "Storms make trees grow deeper roots" may be good as we split up last spring for a short while and this re commitment ceremony is important to our starting over.

Ok so this maybe isnt a recon? more of an added to? but none the less this is very first time doing any kind of changes to clothing so go easy on me  but now I am second guessing myself. Its a gift for my stepdaughters 9th birthday but her mom can be a royal ........  and so I find myself second guessing if its 'good enough' what do you think??

I washed it to make the 'patches' fray on the edge but I think it needs another washing. The thing on the upper right of the top is a scrunchy with ribbon accents that match the outfit.

Im thinking of adding fabric ruffles to the tank sleeves??

Im tired of looking at the same old stuff in our L.R so DH and I decided to redo our theme into a vintage movie type theme... does that make sense? Anyways, our walls our red so that works, I ordered 4 posters off Ebay (Roman Holiday with Humphrey Bogart, How to Marry a Millionaire with Monroe, Dead Reckoning with Hepburn, and a Vintage French Movie poster, I bought poster frames and have one hung so far and it looks awesome, but now I am stuck... what else should I add?
Im bidding on some vintage new york theatre ticket stubs from the 50's and if I get them I will frame them too but what else? Im scared to get too much vintage because I dont want too much mod... think more french vintage or something.

Its really pretty ecletic (sp?). We have a fantastic faux fireplace mantel that is cream and gold and made to look 'worn' and 'old' so I think I can tie that in too just wondering about other decorations besides the walls.

We have brown couches, brown fur throw pillows, typical vintage white blankets over the backs of the couches... any ideas for knick knacks, and other decor items??

 

So this is incredibly simple but I had the most ugly PC on earth, it was one of those beige lay down flat type of PC's like you use to see in old schools and such but its a good PC inside, just ugly out so I took it from "Blah" to "ahh" 


I freehanded everything on it so I hope its not too wonky... Its acrylic paint coated with varnish... I hope it last. I really like the lil guy 

Even though its a flat PC I decided to stand it up to show him off more... afterall thats the whole reason for painting the case.  I also painted the front faceplate black to match but you cant see it in the pic as its facing left. .

Hi ya'll
I just made a diaper bag for myself after not finding a single one that I liked and I am just not into the bears and bunnies type so I made one and it was my very first project using a pattern! I was so thrilled with how it turned out... sure there was a few things I might add/change but overall I am VERY Pleased with it and will post pics later but the problem is the pattern did not have any closure at the top of the bag and being a pattern newbie I didnt want to stray far from the pattern. So my question is, is there anything I can add now, after its done without it looking wonky? Like a snap, button, etc?? I just dont want to screw up the lovely outside....

I got this yarn from a friend of my brothers and there was no label and she doesnt remember what kind it was but I want to add another row of color to my scarf so would like to know what kind of yarn it is to use the same kind or something similar at least? Can anyone tell?
