I made this for my iPod touch so it won't get scratched in my purse. It was super quick. I used left over sock yarn and size 2 dpns.

I made this for a friend for christmas. It took about 6 hours of work. I used Wool Ease thick and quick and size 15 needles. I'm in love with it. I kinda don't want to give it away.

These are my first finished pair of socks. I love them. I wish I could wear them everyday.

The pattern is Lace Diamonds from the Vogue Ultimate sock book. The yarn is Ty Dy socks by Knit One Crochet Too. It took about 2/3rds of the ball of yarn.

The Newspaper Quilt! (insert budabum cha here)

This is the second quilt I've ever made, its a small lap quilt that matches the decore in my living room. Perfect for warming the legs on the couch while watching netflix.

I learned quite a bit from my first quilt and was happy with this one, but still have somethings to improve on.

So my older brother and his girlfriend just bought a house and I am super excited for them both. I was already kicking around the idea of making a quilt as a housewarming present, but my brother specifically requested one, so now I'm definitely making them a quilt. Since this is a gift for my brother, I was hoping for a more masculine quilting pattern. Anyone have any super ideas?

So after buying my sewing machine in November I taught myself to sew and after sewing about a million purses and zippered pouches I decided to try a quilt. It has its imperfections, but I LOVE IT!

So my best friend Emma is a med student. And always has tons of books and scrubs and notes to carry around. I decided that she needed an amazingly stylish bag to carry all this around in.

The fabric is from Joanns and I love the outer fabric because its the perfect color green and the embroider on it is pretty.

The inside is lined and has a pocket. There is also a pocket on the outside.

The bottom of the bag is an oval shape and I've never tired to sew something circular to something straight (the tube that was the rest of the bag) before, and it took me a couple tries around the corners. The seam ripper and I, we were good friends by the end of this.

I still need to add a magnetic closure to the top and some sort of closure to the outer pocket.

I used a vogue pattern, and the bag ended up being much bigger than I expected. But I am totally in love with how the whole thing turned out. I had to call Emma and tell her to look out for a package, or I totally would have kept it for myself.

So I've been learning to sew and trying progressively harder projects and trying to learn different things with each project I do. This purse taught me pleats! I love pleats apparently, I no want to put them in everything

Anyways this is from a simplicity pattern. The fabric is some stuff I picked up for half price on sale at Joanns. Its lined with black satin.
