I have also received a lovely dotee from Dr. Craft. She combined my themes of growing, autumn and fantasy in a really creative way. Apparently this is also her first try at solid beading - I wouldn't have guessed it!

Well. I've now received all four of my zines. I arrived back home after a trip away to find three waiting for me. I've had a flick through them all and I look forward to reading them properly.

The first zine I received was the lovely one by Yoopidu about Hawaii. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it when I was taking all the pictures but I really enjoyed all the pages about kayaking - it really feels like a completely different world for me. I also thought that the mix of type and hand written bits worked very well. It is especially relevant as I have a flight booked for the USA on the 12th December and I'm going to go travelling. Even if I don't make it to Hawaii, this certainly whetted my travelling appetite. Again, a massive apologies for not putting pictures here, as soon as I find the zine I will edit to add pictures.

I received the zine Pug Love from lancmaltby. I really like the card you used on the zine and the very high quality printing. I can definitely see this as a very good coffee table zine to add a little bit of interest. It has a very whimsical feel.



I received the zine Brain Snippets from rougeraven. I haven't had a proper chance to read it but it looks very relevant to my life as I am finding myself in need of focusing more on my creative side (I lose too much time to that frenemy the internet!) I really like bird/godies insert, it added a lot of interest to the zine.



The final zine I have to share with you today is Stuf to do... by goddessgarb. THe suggestions that I've flicked through look really fun and I like the use of diferent type settings and the hand drawings. I think that this might end up in my hand bag for whenever I need a little bit of inspiration.

I've finally managed to update my shop a little bit - I'm now offering customised crochet fingerless gloves for 1 point I've got a whole range of (mainly acrylic) yarn at home and can do most crochet stuff so please just send me a pic or pattern if thats something you would like.



I've also got some clay ornaments on the go, which I should be able to put up sometime tonight/tomorow. I'm thinking of offering both unpainted and painted ones.

Is anyone interested in card making supplies? I've got quite a bit of stuff but make very few cards nowadays.

Also, I'm still really struggling to get decent photographs. I think that is half my cameras fault but even so...if anyone can point me in the direction of some good tutorials/have some tips that would be really lovely

I've got a pretty big range of yarns at home (mainly acrylic, acrylic mixes and some cotton/wool) so I should be able to find the colour you're looking for. I've put up two pics of my work, one pretty much plain and the other with a bubble stitch cuff. After being inspired by the tv show The Great British Bake Off that was recently on the BBC, my friend and I decided to create the great croque-en-bouche (also spelt croquembouche - not actually sure which one is correct!). Despite a few (semi!) disasters along the way, which you can read more about on my blog post, we were very pleased with the end result.



Not quite the elegant creation of the french masters of pastry but, hey ho, for a first attempt I'm pretty pleased

One more page to share with you all. I've been neglecting my art journal recently but hopefully february's going to give me some more space to get going. I'm also thinking that i might do the calender page thingy - they always look really pretty. As always, more info on my blog 

Just done my second page. And remembered to resize the images as well to fit on craftster!

I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I had a lot of fun doing the background and it was interesting doing a bit of experimenting with masking tape

The image on the right is (very much) my work in progress. I actually started the drawing in july but obviously didn't finish it so I decided to use the paper, and therefore the image, in my journal.

I made these ages ago but have finally sewn them up, just as the weather is turning nice and toasty  Sorry about the bad pics.

I made them as a bit of an experiment to see whether you could crochet the flowers directly into the item, so that there is no need for any sewing on (not that that is much of a hassle, but I just wanted to see whether it could be done. Which it can Below is the test patch that I made where you can see more clearly what I mean.
