1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Seeking Opinions on: January 07, 2009 08:42:12 AM
So, I asked for some double pointed needles for Christmas so I could give knitting some socks a try. I ended up getting the Boye Interchangable Needlemaster Kit. I've never used circular needles and the aluminum doesn't bother me, as I use the Boye aluminum crochet hooks.

I'm more of a crocheter and have only recently taken up knitting in the past few months. From what I've read I'll probably need to get dpns anyway.

My question is this: Should I keep the kit or exchange it?

What would you do?

Tried it myself too:

That's so cute! I love the colors. Very earthy. Smiley

This is so cute! I made half of this purse a few months ago but haven't finished it. Now I want to try to finish it up! I really like the colors you used.

Thanks! I'd love to see yours when you finish it. Did you use the same colors as the pattern or did you use different colors?

OMG that's soooo adorable! I love it! Did you line the inside with fabric?

I haven't lined it yet. I am planning on it, but my bank account says "not right now".

It's a really quick pattern to crochet, too! It only took me two afternoons.  Smiley

that's great Smiley good job.

Thank you. I've never done that stitch before and it's only the second pattern I've ever followed. I'm breaking out of my comfort zone and it feels good!  Smiley

I saw this purse and absolutely HAD to crochet one! I'm head over heels in love with this purse and am so proud of myself. I hope that you like it. I used Red Heart Soft yarn in Wine and Off White and Naturally Caron Merino Blend in Berry Frappe. I will include a link to the pattern at the bottom of the page.

Voila.....my new purse!!!!
