1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Chibi, Tiny Bunny Charm, and Cupcake surprises! on: July 13, 2009 09:26:17 AM
I... I think I might just DIE from cute. These are totally adorable, and so teeny tiny! I noticed the stripes on the nesting cupcake are translucent, were they made of fimo, or cernit. I've only used fimo before. If it is translucent fimo then you have my respects, because I simply cannot get translucent fimo not to plaque.

Aw~ hehe Thanks!

The clay I used was Fimo and it is kinda translucent, it's this one. http://www.theclaystore.com/pages-productinfo-category-65_70-product-1223/fimo-effect-glitter-white-2-oz.html It's a glitter white but on it's own it is kinda translucent, sometimes I mix it with normal clay to add something special. In all of these things I posted the white is either the glitter white or the mixture of white and glitter white. The littlest cupcake in the nesting ones is just the glitter white on it's own, on it's own it holds up pretty well in color.

.......
They are neatly and delicately done.
You either are a fairy with tiny nimble fingers or have EPIC dexterity.
.......

I whole heartedly agree with that.  Teeny weeny steady hands!!

xD! I have steady hands for the most part but one bad move by me and it gets squished hehe.

awww these are to die forr! so cute but was wondering what you use the white on the kitty looks nice but my sculpey never seems to turn out like that it always looks muck white

Sorry for a late reply ^^; I've been busy working. I use the special effects fimo (it's a glitter white shade) it comes out really nice if you mix it with the normal white also.  If I ever use white I always use that combo, it always adds a nice touch. You should be able to find the glitter fimo at any craft store. I hope that helps. ^_^
