Hello everyone! I have a bit of a design problem I hope you guys can help me out with.
I have some plain hats I've crocheted that I don't know what to do with. So I thought I would put some patches on the hats. Normal, right? Here's where it gets tricky...
Instead of regular iron-on patches, I want to make and use shrinky dink patches so they can be interchangeable. The best method I can think of to do this would be to use velcro on the front of the hat and on the back of the shrinky dink patch.
Well my options are either iron-on velcro-which is best for the yarn and not for plastic-or heavy duty velcro for buttetin boards and garage tool hooks-which is best for the shrinky dink and not for the yarn.
Part of me wants to just sew a square of the heavy duty yarn onto the yarn of the hat (4 corner style) and use it as normal on the shrinky dink and be down with it. Another part of me wants to try and use the iron on velcro on the shrinky dink but I have a feeling it will melt it.
Aargh! I have no idea what to do and it's driving me crazy!
