1  Day of the Dead Marie Antoinette (Papier Mache) in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Senora Muertos on: August 31, 2009 02:20:41 PM
Marie Antoinette is done in the Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos style.  I purposely made her skull extra big to give it a comical appearance.  She was formed using styrofoam, covered in newspaper strips, then paper clay, sanded and then painted with acrylic paints and sealed with an acrylic sealer.

3  Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos Elvis (paper mache') in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Senora Muertos on: August 27, 2009 10:58:29 AM
Here is my second Day of the Dead Elvis. He is made of paper mache'.  I start with a wire armature and build upon it with crinkled newspaper.  I then mache' over it with newspaper strips and then add a paper clay mix.  He is then sanded and painted with acrylic paints.  He is sporting the Blue Fireworks jumpsuit.  I am a huge Elvis fan and plan to eventually do all the jumpsuits.
