51  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / need some anti valentines help on: February 08, 2009 02:29:04 AM
i am planning to make a couple of anti valentine cards (to send with a small gift) for my 2 friends who are also single parents like myself its their first valentines as a single mum and i know so well that it really sucks being surrounded by romance so wanted to send them something to make them smile but have drawn a blank on the cards i did think maybe just go simple with a heart with a black no go circle over but not sure about it
any ideas would be greatly recieved

i absolutly love mary poppins know all the words from the film love the songs just dont get tired of it anybody else fancy this and anybody fancy being a swap organiser

these were purely a fluke idea i got some tape cassettes to make cassette notebooks/purses so when i dismantled them i ended up with large 'cog' and smaller ones i didnt want to just bin them so decided to make them into earrings i then found in a different tape there was a different colour

made using the sock monkey method but slight alterations (shorter tail that isnt stuffed shaped horns and used the toe of second sock rather than smaller heel for the mouth bit) made this for my partner in the pink swap she has recieved now so thought i would post

made these based on the knotty no sew blankets then used felt to add the names and stuffed using polyfill stuff

made these as parts of christmas presents for my friends 2 girls so they are unnamed at the moment
the lighter pink one has sewn on eyes as going to the younger of the girls who still puts things in mouth

added this owl onto a plain cotton shop brought eco bag for my owl loving sister for christmas (i also added a keyring that had red buttons and a owl charm to one handle)
