1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / fall/Autumn hoopla on: November 12, 2014 08:19:16 AM
I made this for my partner in the hoopla swap seasons round, her season was fall (autumn to me as I'm in the UK  Cheesy ) & her favourite reason was for this because she classes it as baking season using apples from her tree to make cake

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / little girl reading embroidered Teesha Moore bookmark patch on: September 19, 2014 05:00:08 AM
So I've never made a Teesha Moore patch before but love them, so I made this for a first go practice. I based the girl on my daughter & the back fabric is Roald Dahl Matilda book fabric, I believe it's bigger than most patches but I wanted to make to become a fabric bookmark for my girl. I really enjoyed the whole process so I think I can manage a patch swap now  Grin

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / bride & groom sock monkeys on: July 07, 2014 03:33:35 AM
I made these bride & groom sock monkeys as a wedding gift for my brother & new sister in law, they got married last friday (I was still sewing the finishing touches on these at 11.30pm the night before)
I based the outfits on what I knew they would be wearing including the tails on the grooms suit jacket, the brides veil & the flower colours
I loved how they turned out & they also loved them as did everyone else who saw them

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / thumbprint love heart cushion cover 2nd anniversary gift on: March 09, 2014 09:58:45 AM
I made this for my husband for our 2nd wedding anniversary which is tomorrow (2nd is cotton)
I made a thumbprint & photocopied it til size I needed then overlapped 2 to make a heart shape. He always jokes he is under the thumb  Cheesy this was a real labour of love far too many hours & so many stitches, all in back stitch using single strand, this project used 2 1/4 full embroidery floss skeins. I used a ready made cushion cover in white & used turquoise as white & turquoise were our wedding colours
