1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Labor of Love II on: March 08, 2009 08:16:29 AM
My sister loved her afghan (here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=289002.0), but so did her daughter. So, I thought I'd make a mini afghan for my niece.

I had nine purple and lavendar squares from a project I abandoned years ago. I whipped up a few more squares from stash yarn and joined them together to make this:

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Labor of Love Afghan on: January 25, 2009 02:43:15 PM
Backstory: I visited my sister in her new house right before Christmas. I used this opportunity to check out the colors she was using to decorate. My niece's birthday party was today, so I gave myself approximately one month to create what I now call the Labor of Love afghan as a housewarming gift.

I started with my son's crayons, sketched out what I wanted, and turned to my standby (Red Heart) to provide the right colors. And the finished product looks like this:

It is 7 1/2 feet square (or 49 12" blocks). I used this block pattern from the Craftster 2008 12" block crochetalong. http://www.geocities.com/cdjsimon/flower_burst.html

I averaged 3 blocks a night in order to give myself enough time to weave in ends, join, and finish. My hand may just fall off!  Wink

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Spring Bracelet on: April 08, 2007 05:06:25 AM
Here's a bracelet I made using 26 gauge sterling silver wire and glass beads. I used a size H hook.

4  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Five Lil Monkeys on: January 22, 2007 06:23:58 PM
Okay, so it's really only one Lil Monkey set, but I modified the pattern slightly to include monkey faces on both the front and back of the blanket so that it's reversible (and so that the stitching doesn't show). So, four monkeys on the blanket and one on the hat equals five lil monkeys!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Lamb Baby Hat Pattern?? on: December 14, 2005 06:10:52 PM
I'm looking for a pattern for a baby hat that looks like a lamb. Has anyone seen anything like that?
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Paris-themed Wedding and Reception Ideas Needed on: January 10, 2005 08:51:37 AM
My sister is getting married and wants a Paris-themed wedding and reception.

Her dress is champagne colored. The bridesmaids and groomswomen will be wearing black dresses. We will be carrying red bouquets. The color scheme is black, white, and red.

Any ideas about decorations for the wedding and reception that we can make ourselves?
