1  Rapunzel and Flynn Rider <3 *Image Heavy* in Halloween Costumes by edwards1 on: November 01, 2011 09:40:40 AM
Okay, so this was our first time doing DIY costumes and they came out great! Only problem, when we wore them, we were on a vacation just us two so the pictures were kinda limited. So I uploaded a bunch so that hopefully you can get the idea of what they were! We were Flynn and Rapunzel for our 1 year wedding Anniversary trip to Disney, and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. So of course, we had to be Disney characters. My husband kind of acts like Flynn (and looks like him) so we figured this is perfect.=] We even got asked to take pictures with guests, until a Disney employee said not to let people take pictures with us anymore (people thought we were the real deal and Disney didn't like that) =] So that was a really proud moment!

The first thing I made was the wig! I couldn't walk around with a HUUUUGE wig in the park, so I settled with her shorter look of the braid. When I bought this wig,it was nasty, nappy curly!!! Then it turned into this:

=]]]]] I was super excited about it!
Then came the dress, and his vest. I had help with his vest. A friend of ours had already made it for a Ren fair, so we just added the accessories.
But the dress, completely from scratch!!!!
Us with the real Rapunzel and Flynn....

Notice the smolders!

Then we added a friend!

Action shot! haha

So, sorry about the bajillion pictures!!!! =] Please vote for me, we worked very very hard!

2  Re: 2011 r3 mini 13 days of Halloween Gallery in The Swap Gallery by edwards1 on: September 19, 2011 10:39:10 AM
Okay, so I am going on vacation a huge chunk of this swap opening period. So, I went ahead and opened everything like 10 minutes ago....jealous ladies?! =]]]

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO here is my package!!!

Day 1.
Yummy bark, that I made the mistake of opening in front of my family which they promptly ate majority of:

My hubby stealing a snack.

Next!
Some adorable, and wonderfully smelly, soap (?). It smells amazing! I know she makes her own cosmetics, so I am assuming she made it herself and it is so cute!

Next day!
Eyeshadow she made! Lots of colors =]

and the box it came in

And we move on!
Lip stick! She made me a bunch

And thennnnnnnnn.
To a wonderful banner that will look awesome for our Halloween party!

And then.....
This little coffin that had this little guy hidden in it!

The clasp is my favorite part!

Moving on to a
Cake that she made.

Also
A bag which my sister promptly stole

Moving right along...
A set of stamps and a cupcake pen that matches the cake (sister stole that too)

AND......
Probably my favorite item, an altered tin with a bunch of earrings in it!

Next
A Halloween skirt, that fit me perfectly, but my sister AGAIN stole to wear to school on Halloween
and its reversible

Then
A doll who is wonderfully scary!

Some spiders for hair and fingers =] again a sister stolen item

a charm bracelet with all sorts of Halloween charms

Some cookies for hubby and I, loving the owl.

So here is what we can conclude....my sister is a thief, my phone takes awful pictures, and when you open the whole package at once you forget what went on what day. Thank you aisy! Sorry I had to ruin all my surprises, but I hope you enjoy all of yours!!!!=]

3  Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part II GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by edwards1 on: July 05, 2011 03:47:04 PM
I got the most amazing package today!!!!! You would never believe my partner was a first time swapper, she did amazingly! My husband and I were like kids on christmas opening these! I wish I would have gotten a picture of how awesome she wrapped everything and packaged it, but I was too excited that I....well....forgot!!!! Sorry for the really horrible cell phone pictures =[

Every item came from a character in the book, which made it even better!

First is a deathly hallows bag, I already packed it for the premiere with my other goodies!

Next is a Polyjuice Potion bottle with really pretty smelling wax inside. This was my husbands favorite, he loves the bottle!

Next is this little guy, who I might put on a keychain so I can always have him with me, he is oh so adorable!!!

A plush padfoot so I can always remember my favorite character=]
And I couldn't resist this: Here is my dog Lupin, with the Sirius plushy. Padfood and Moony are reunited once again!!!! It took me FOREVER to get this picture! haha Lupin tends to think that anything plush is his, so I am going to have to hide padfoot! lol

A cute little key chain to show off my house pride!!!

And these adorable bow clips!

Some yummy wands. Upon seeing that there was two of each edible, my husband decided that she must have made some for him too. haha so spoiled!

And lemon drops,Dumbledore's favorite!! haha

Adorable Radish earrings! Which is so funny because I sent her a pair as well =]

And (warning photo heavy!) this amazing box with swoon worthy pictures, and favorite quotes. Even a quote that I am about to get as a tattoo! =]

Inside the box was a great trivia game for me and the hubs to play while we are waiting for the movie to start!

My second favorite thing, my Gryffindor necklace! sooo pretty! And the perfect length!

And my favorite speaks for itself!

Thank you thank you thank you! I cant wait to see how you liked your stuff!!!!!!

I was SERIOUSLY spoiled from Ms. Loey! She knew exactly what I wanted!!!! I love it all! Forgive my crappy cellphone pictures!

To start:
Here is the box all full and pretty!

Something sparkly:

Some awesome sparkling socks!!!

Something Red and Black:

A crochet hook organizer/holder!

I was in DESPERATE need of one of these!

Something starting with the letter B:

A bag to carry all my crocheting supplies and yarn while I am on the run! Which was number one on my "need" list!!! It is super durable and has plenty of pockets to hide stuff in! And it matches my hook holder! How exciting!

Something with Ribbon:

A new apron for my new apartment! I really needed one and why not have a twilighty one!

Something Hot/Cold:

A rice bag! Which I used already last night for my allergy eyes!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I loved every thing and am putting all to good use already!

Get your wisting fingers ready ladies because my babies got completely spoiled!!!!!
First, the toys that are for Crookshanks...which I have had to hide so the puppy doesn't eat them. She never has cared for toys but she has hidden one of them already so I think she secretly plays with it when we arent home!  Wink

Next: Pretty collars for the doggies! It was so hard to get a good picture! lol But, for Lupin, a rainbow star collar. And for Princess, a red one with white polka dots!

This is how excited Princess got over her collar...such a girly girl!

For Princess a pink cellphone toy...but...Lupin stole that too....so I had to get a picture of him stealing it because he wouldnt give it to her!

Here is Lupin, with his new tug of war toy...still stealing Princess's toy...in his fabulous new sweater!!! I feel I must explain. I made the joke long ago that my dog is gay (please dont be offended!!!!) My best friend is gay, and they both have sweaters that are similar and Lupin loooooves being dressed up. So, I told my partner this and this is the fabulous sweater she made him!!!!! I was so excited when I opened it I screamed! lol He loves it and gets made when I take it off him!

Here is him getting mad because I was undressing him!

And getting more frustrated when I put on his even more fabulous....

Sweater vest!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! and so does he (he wore it to my parents house yesterday for my sisters bday! lol) My husband said Lupin is a gentleman and a scholar...so he needed a sweater vest!!!! its wonderful!

For my girly girl! two dresses...one of which is a tutu which makes the retired ballerina in me REALLY happy!!!!

She loves the dresses! (she wore the red one last night as well!)

For Crookshanks a big snuggly bag! She has never had one before so she was apprehensive. But, I put catnip in there so she could get the idea....now...she loves it! I put her in it every night so she will not sleep on our faces. She stays in there for hours...the other day she was rolling around in it and fell of the bed..Priceless!

Soooooooo spoiled and they loved everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

6  Re: Pet Lovers Swap R2 (Signups 12/31-1/14 Sendouts 3/7) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by edwards1 on: January 03, 2011 10:47:58 PM
All these babies are so cute! I thought I should share my lovies as well!!!
Here are all three!

Crookshanks (kitty), Princess (black pup) and my baby boy Lupin! They cuddle when they are pretending to love each other for mommy and daddy's benefit!

one of my favorite pictures!

Princess, I have had her since I was 14, she was a gift from an ex, but she is absolutely a Daddy's girl since we joke that my husband "adopted" her. lol

Lupin, we have had him since he was about 2 months old. We found him at a gas station abandoned by his mommy =[[[ But he is mamma's boy!

haha! My husband and I with the pooches and santa!

Crookshanks, also found when she was a baby during the winter behind the bank. She is the queen of the house!

Sorry that was so picture heavy!!! I am a proud mamma!!!!

Here is my wonderful package!!!
I lost the paper, so here is my best shot remembering the letters!

K-Knitted kitty toys
(Now my kitty just kinda rolled her eyes when I gave it to here, but my mom's cat loved it, stole one. And the other one I couldn't find for a couple of days when I looked in my puppy's toy box I found it, he had claimed it and hid it in his box. So it is a wonderful poochie toy now!!!)
O- The bigger owl! Which is absolutely wonderful! I love it to death!
R- Rectangular cross stitch! I loe it. I still need to figure out what to do with my. My hubby wants to frame it, I think he may have a good idea!
I- Individually wrapped candy (not pictured, because eaten!)
N-Nice little Buddhas! Already on my shelf with the rest of his buddies!
A- Adorable owl hoopla! (pictured first)

Thank you so much gamemom42! Wonderful package and so much fun!!!!
