Wow!  Thanks so much to everyone.  You are all so nice!   Grin

I'm so very proud!

Aunt Suzi, I've only worn the shawl that one day, so I can't really say how well the shawl will hold up.  Once knit, it seems very sturdy and strong.  I was really nervous about the yarn breaking, so I paid extra attention while knitting to be careful.  Even while knitting the yarn surprised me with its durability.  The only time the yarn broke was at the very beginning when I was trying to pull from the center of the ball.  I wind by hand and tend to make the center too tight sometimes. After that first break everything was shiny!

I love it!

It would fit into so many different decors with all of the pretty colors!

This was my first big lace project and first time using blocking wires.  I'm ecstatically happy with how it turned out.  I've been saving this cashmere for a long time for something very special, so when my boyfriend and I decided to get married for our 10 year anniversary, I knew just which yarn to create with.  It is easy to work with and pretty much the softest thing I've ever touched.

I ended up using less than 2 skeins because I took out one pattern repeat thinking that I might run out of yarn.  I would hardily recommend this pattern for a first-time lace knitter.  I love this shawl so much that I just want to stare at it all the time!  It really made my wedding day even more special.

Thanks to Miriam for pattern help and fellow knitters for blocking advice!  Smiley

I don't have the book, but I've been interested in this shawl for a few weeks.

I just started a different one last week, but I'm definitely going to watch this KAL to see your progress!
