Wow, Guinness bread mix sounds really interesting. Everyone's packages look great. Smiley

And.... Bryn arrived home today with a huge box full of awesomeness. Cheesy Here's some pictures but I really couldn't do it justice. Wildfyre was super generous and included all kinds of souvineers! I was totally blown away. I told her that I collect postcards and she made sure that I received a ton of those too.

Here's a broad shot of all the paper goods she sent along. This includes brochures, maps, postcards, newsletters, stickers -- tons of amazing stuff. I'm actually planning a vacation to her part of the country next year so some of this stuff will really come in handy.

Here's a shot of Bryn standing on the scrapbook with her new metalic skirt that Wildfyre made for her. To the left are some fossil rocks she found. Also on display here are chocolates from Seattle, cute pressed coin souvineer, and a special suit case for Bryn which included passport, money, photos and Hello Kitty stickers. Actually, she came back home with more money than she left with. As a mother, I'm slightly concerned she's been up to no good.  Grin

And yes, more stuff!! Wildfyre sent all kinds of cool souvineers including Boeing pins, pen, badge attachment, & magnet. There is also two magnets from Seattle and Mt. Rainier and a miniature (but growing!) space needle. She also picked up a key chain and shot glass from the Zoo (I love the sea horses!!) and a Mt. Rainier mini cup. There was also the cutest little bag from Seattle with the Space Needle. I love!!

This is probably my favorite part. She made me Skamper the Squirrel from a 70's Hallmark kit!!! How amazing is this?! I absolutely love it.  Cheesy I wanted to get a shot of her tail, which also has the flower print but I think I'm already over my allowed photo limits on this thread as is. Tongue Anywhoo -- it's super cool. Cheesy

And here's some pages from the scrapbook. I really like this shot of Bryn and the sunset. Wildfyre included tons of pages in the scrapbook and even made the cover herself.

This is probably my all time favorite shot of Brynn from her trip. She's posing in front of Mt. Rainier. Everything looks so beautiful!!

Thanks so much, wildfyre!!! You totally spoiled me rotten. I really appreciate all the souvineers and goodies that you included. It's all too much. Best swap ever? I'm hard pressed to think of a runner up. Cheesy

kikigirl - What a great swap package! I love that page on the scrapbook where craftADDchick used the museum map as a background to the pictures. Smiley And now I must know more about the Sawdoctors.

wildfyre - Yay! I'm so glad that everything arrived okay. Although those "beads" were supposed to be a zipper pull on the pouch. I hope they didn't break off in transit or something.  Tongue  Here's what it should have looked like and a good pick of the little horse pin.

And I'm glad you were pleased at the Bryer minis! I was kinda fond of the black one but I figured you would give him a better home. Wink And there is a zipper pull in his box too.

Wildfyre posted so many great pics. Thanks so much!! And I just have to post some of the scrapbook pages 'cause I spent so much time on it, donchaknow. Wink It's one of those that opened like an acordian.

Here's Bullseye at his "Welcome" bar-b-que. We had beer and kabobs

And here he is at King's Island getting over his fear of heights.

Oops! Wrong again -- we have another little group of stuffies for the gallery. Cupcakeguru made these cute little guys for my angel package: Betz the cow, Francine the Chicken and Chicka-Dee the chick. They are really well put together. She stitched the little wings and what not on both sides of the mascots so either side is the "right side". Wow -- I never do that.  Shocked

And here's a pile of awesome postcards that she sent along too. Cupcakeguru was a total sweetie and picked these up to fatten my postcard collection.

Thanks so much, cupcakeguru. Your little guys are amazing. Thanks so much for sending out another package even though it wasn't required.  Kiss Your awesome. Cheesy

And finally, here are pictures of the latest things I have received:

SewingLori made the cutest door pillow. I'm using it as a signal to my guy that I'm busy studying so please don't disturb.

The clutch and wallet are from honorablemention. I absolutely love them. I was blown away by all the stitching she put into this project.

Thanks so much, ladies. Great swap as always. Smiley

15  Re: Postcard Swap Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by novastarlet on: September 01, 2007 07:37:18 AM
And speaking of desperately overdue photos... here's the cards that I received. Smiley

The beautiful Washington card is from Wildfyre. She and I are parters for the Little Visitor Swap too so I'm hoping I'll score some more fabulous cards from her. Cheesy

Myrtle Beach card is from have2craft -- and no, you didn't send me one last round. Wink This is a cool card because I have actually been to Myrtle Beach but didn't pick up any postcards when I was there (10 years ago)

The Oregan Coast card came from pinokeeo. It's such a beautiful shot!! And i think the fact that it got hung up a bit in the postal processing machines just adds to its charm.

Balkandina send me the really cool card of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. From the back of the card, it seems to say that the building isn't really painted this way - it's just a painting on a photograph. My question is why not?! Smiley

Thanks everyone for the wonderful swaps. It's always fun to get new postcards in the mail.

Saor -- I love that postcard of the pub fronts. Any chance you have another laying around??  Grin

I received an awesome package from wootwoot! She painted a mirror with Matrioshka dolls using the perfect colors for my office (I'll show you later when I have it picked up a bit Tongue). She also made a little pin.

Here's the mirror. The little Matrioshka doll pin is on a piece of paper wedged into the middle.

And here's a close-up of her amazing painting job. Cheesy

Thanks so much, wootwoot!! I love it all.

And finally pictures:

nosusanfx made these amazing sugar skulls magnets. I am totally in love with them and was super impressed with the details!!

And kishcrafts made the little bottle cap magnet with the black cat and green eyes. I am totally in awe of anyone who personalizes for this swap... AND this is so cute. It looks just like my cat.

Thanks so much ladies. Cheesy

hah. I received from you today too, pertelot!! Cheesy And great minds think alike. Wink

Meet Violet and her little hedgehog friend Spike (with a slight Napoleon complex, but never mind that). Cheesy Her accessories include a scarf (gift from Spike) and Carrot Cake! The little stitching is sooooo cute!!

Here's a shot of the whole package. She also threw in some crystal Hello Kitty Pez that she found and a postcard. Fantastic package! Thanks so much!! Cheesy

Aww. Haylie - I'm glad that you had a good visit with your guy. You guys look cute. And your Ridley must have been loving going to his own restaurant. Smiley

Bullseye attended Forecastle Festival with me in Louisville on Saturday. We just showed up to see the last couple bands. Before that we did some quick stops around downtown. He was really enjoying getting to know the locals. Bullseye can really strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. Smiley

Yay, I'm so glad that you liked everything Lrschic. The tote bag was an extra I threw in. They were originally made for the Sweat Shoppe Swap R10, but some of them didn't ink too well -- like this one. Tongue Still looks okay though, I think. Wink

And I also did a personal swap with Peihan17! We did something along the lines of the Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap requirements. Here's what she sent:

This little rabbit is Prudence. She was raised to be a quiet country girl but loves Nine Inch Nails! Cheesy She came with a Fragile CD (looks super realistic!!) and two beaded extras that look like the flower from the album cover.

I love the sugar skull art work too!! Thanks so much Peihan. You're an excellant swap partner. Smiley
