Ooh, yes, first socks are always the best. What a good story, too  Smiley

They are adorable!

Ps) I've just seen your project to design 100 baby sweaters in a year - wow! Good luck!

Hey thanks Smiley It's been pretty great so far. A lot of work but very creatively fulflilling.

These jackets are absolutely adorable. Maybe you could make the hats and shoes to go with them?

Thanks Smiley I've thought about that, I think it would definitely be a good idea. Maybe I can squeeze em in amongst the holiday knitting fest.

I have been slaving away for the last little while trying to get these sweaters finished up so I can get the pattern out before the holiday season. I am pretty durn proud of how they came out, so I wanted to share em here.

One is knit, one is crocheted.

(if anyone is interested in the patterns they're here-this is my own website, full disclosure, but it is a free pattern and I really want people to enjoy it before the holiday comes and goes so hopefully ya'll don't mind Smiley)

Hey, thanks for the compliments Smiley I was pretty darn proud of this project so it's nice to know others can appreciate the details.

Just used acrylic craft paint. I've mixed textile medium in before but I've also found that it's not necessary, once you wash it the paint softens up and you can't tell it's not dyed or printed.

The dress looks real good on you. I suppose you painted the fabric before cutting it.

Thank you! I actually painted it after cutting.

After trying a chevron dress on at Target and deciding I could make a better dress using stuff I already had lying around, I made this dress. I am so happy with how it came out.

I drafted the pattern and painted the stripes myself, which was really fun and came out better than I really expected it to. I've had a lot of luck painting stripes on fabric before, I think because using masking tape always makes nice clean lines with no bleeding (as opposed to stenciling, which I've had hit or miss experiences with.) Has anyone else painted stripes on fabric before? It's so nice to have so much control over the colors when you do.
