Great travel journals! I am slightly jealous of those that can do quickly sketches.

Stillatthetop, I'm not sure how much text you can see on that spread. I should have some close ups. The name of the color on the pain chip is "fuzzy navel" and the person on the right page is Janelle Monae with her lyrics "Even is it makes other uncomfortable I will love who I am." Oh, and the white and brown background is flocked. I totally didn't plan that! I bet my subconscious drew me to those pages for a reason.

yoopidou, for my more vulnerable thoughts I use stacked journaling. Here is a tutorial http://approachable-art.blogspot.com/p/stacked-journaling-101.html Adds lots of mystery to a spread.

Great pages, rae. Love the hexagon background.
Thank you! I'm very much into hexagon and lightening bolts right now.
Cmarion3, your work is amazing! Your swap partners must be over the moon!

Some more pages to go with my theme Middle

What a great job! She looks extremely happy with the end result

I agree with Abbeeroad. This was created with sorcery. I can imagine a crazy cool hooded wizard costume with your special keys hanging off of a large old fashioned key ring. I hit "this rocks!"

I love all of these! I especially like the coloring on the cone with the eye patch.

Thank you very much! Cheesy
Love your icon btw, hahahaha.
Thanks!

I found this deep in the depths of my sketchbooks. Your post makes me want to revisit it somehow. I love monster food.

Oo oo!! Can I join? I'm working on next year's Sketchbook Project and my theme is Middle. This is my spread for Middle of the year/summer

The paint chip page reads (upside down): "Fish Story, Tidal Teal, Swim"
and the underside says:
Ama divers, also known as Japanese pearl divers, dove down into the chilly waters 3 times a day. This required lots of eating and warming by a fire in between runs. The Ama divers were paid huge salaries often paid more in a few weeks then the village men made in a year. This 2,000 year tradition practically disappeared by the 1960s.

How do I upload and post my images to be a little larger instead of the default medium size?

Every piece of jewelry my grandpa made for us had a mistake in it. A pearl was chipped, a ruby didn't match, something like that. It annoyed me to look at but my mom loved it. It reminded her that is was handmade. This is a beautiful blanket with a beautiful story!
