Hey everyone! I finally have some photos to show you. My computer has been throwing temper tantrums lately and believes it doesn't have the hardware to connect to the internet. :/ It's working right now so hopefully it will last long enough to post *crosses fingers*

RougeRaven sent me a beautiful journal. I think this binding method it called longstitch and is made sturdy with some leather strips.


We agreed to do some pages together. I love them. The first is my favorite of the two. I have to check out the band in the second.


There are beautiful pages throughout the journal like lace that sprayed over and flaps to add interest to my spreads.



There is an envelope in the inside of the back cover which is a must with my journals.

She also sent lots of paper goodies including some pages from a medical text book like a chart of the lymph nodes. *geeks out* THANKS ROUGERAVEN! I hope the picture dump makes up for my absence

Wulf, I wish that was the case with my favorite rub-ons. The art store has these rub on sheets used for manga drawing in the clearance section. They have been there for months. I've picked up a couple in two different patterns but they are $8 a pop!

I've moved my workspace from the backyard to the front porch...for some reason working in the front of the house gets my paper a lot less dirty.  I've recently come up with a great solution for storing my workspace. I used to layer wax paper all over the dining room table but once paint dried on them they became bulky and difficult to fold.

Cut a gallon zip loc bag down on side and across the bottom so it lays flat. Use masking tape to tape it down to your work surface. Stretch the bag so there are no wrinkles (not pictured lol) When you are finished and the paint is dry fold the bag and crease it along the zip loc zipper. It now stores as flat and as thick as cardstock paper Do they make bags bigger than gallon size? For bigger projects I'll have to go back to laying down wax paper but I am currently out. If I hadn't run out I would have never tried the bag!

Whoops! I saw a mistake in my shop and corrected it:

It is not a single comic for half a point but rather a flat rate envelope with as much as I can fit.

My dad has been very supportive of me this past year. While I bet he wouldn't mind another massage from me I wanted to give him something different this year. But what's a poor student to do? Craft!



I told him that he had to wear what I made him all day. He hammed it up and got lots of compliments throughout the day. Originally his button was going to say "#1 Dad" but he wasn't going to be the only dad at the table so I thought it seemed unfair. My nephew refers to him as Papa so Big Papa fit well.

I came home early from brunch to find that my step-dad was going out to dinner with the family. I whipped this up really quick. Some backstory: When my mom was pregnant with my brother she asked my step dad a ton of "What if..." questions about their chil. My step-dad said he didn't care if he ran around with a rubber glove over his head exclaiming "I'm a squid! I'm a squid!" as long as he was happy. I've been told that the same goes for all of us.

The toner started to run off instantly...Any tips? I think next time I may spray some workable fixative before printing to give the ink something to stick to.

I've been offering a flat rate envelope of comic books to be used in crafts but there was no pic posted until now.

I made two sets of altered art books in a rainbow theme.



Each book is bound pamphlet style.

I used lots of fun stuff in these books. There are eight pages in each including scrap booking paper, watercolor paper, and repurposed materials like vintage newspaper and a Monet poster.

The purple books are especially fun with some rumpled and scribbled canvas paper, acetate, scrap watercolor paper, and scrapbook papers. Here are some pictures of the pages below.

Well not entirely origami These were a WIP since forever ago and I wanted to finally finish them.

I painted some heart findings with bubble pink nail polish. Unfortunately when I pieced it all together the polish became gouged and I no longer have the polish to fix it. The stars are made of paper. Everything was sprayed with several layers of matte finish.
