... It looks like it's simply soft to me, with a g hook probably. But we're using red heart for this swap, and red heart is used with an I hook. What i did to get the right size every time was I first made a traditional granny square the exact 8" i needed, then i picked patterns that had at least 2 rows of border and cut the pattern short when the square was the same size as the granny square i made initially.
I suppose you could also use a g or h hook instead of an I but it makes working on it more harsh on your hands and the square super thick.
This is my first round, so I just want to make sure I understand - are we all using Red Heart brand, or is this something DV and partner worked out? I haven't bought yarn yet, and may get some on the way home from work tomorrow. Thanks!
