21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper Bag with flower made using my new Cricut Expression on: January 06, 2010 01:12:48 PM
Ok...so I gave in! I bought the Cricut Expression...mainly because it claims it can cut fabric and I am excited for appliques.....so it arrived today and I had to play!

I tried out one of the cartridges with some paper....added my Crop-o-dile to the adventure and ended up with some die cut flowers and a cute little bag for my daughter complete with flower & rhinestone center.

22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Jack Skellington Fingerless Gloves on: December 17, 2009 07:51:24 AM
I made a pair of fingerless gloves the other night and got my daughter to model them (I was really checking size & fit)....as soon as she went to bed, I sewed on Jack Skellington's face and wrapped them up for her for Xmas!

23  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / String Ornaments from leftover (cotton) yarn on: December 09, 2009 10:28:10 AM
I had some leftover cotton yarn, so I decided to make string ornaments with the kids!

Super easy....you blow up a balloon to the size of a fist (water balloons work perfect).

Mix 2 parts white glue to 1 part water.

Dip your string in the glue mixture and start wrapping around the balloon.

Dry for 24 hrs on wax paper.

Pop & remove the balloon and embellish as you wish.

**We placed bells in the balloons before we blew them up so the ornaments would jingle!

Self designed bag.

Back of bag is reverse applique of his initials.

Inside of bag (under flap) is lyrics from one of his songs (warning...profane language)...
