Okay...my daughter has HATED me for the past couple days! I made her stare at this box covered in Hello Kitty stickers until we were done making our items to send out!

Well, we finally opened our box tonight and it was simply FABULOUS!! Hautedogclothing spoiled us!!

First, the initial "look" when we opened the box:

Next....all the candy:

An adorable pin cushion!!!! (I kept this!)

A really cute scarf (my daughter took this!)

More goodies: (I kept these)

....and underneath that was another layer of awesomeness!!

She made glass pebble charms and turned them into a necklace, bracelet & key chain...and included a cute guitar pic pin (my daughter took ALL of these!!)

Another charm bracelet in a mermaid/pirate theme (daughter also stole this!)

And last but definitely not least....glass pebble magnets (these are MINE!!)

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH from Emily & I!!!!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Three hats & a headband from this week! on: January 27, 2011 10:26:41 PM
More crochet done this week.

I designed a cute Bunny Hat for the kiddos....a Ribbed Newsboy for the gals and a Scalloped Headband for those cold winter days.

I also hopped on over to Drops at Garn Studios and worked up this cute pom pom hat from their selection of patterns....I made flowers instead of pom poms though for the dangles.

The flower is the Braided Twirlagig Flower  on Ravelry.

The headbands are in my signature links.

The flower was found on Ravelry. It is very easy to do and you can definitely use smaller hooks to make it smaller but the stitch count would need to stay the same to keep the shape of the flower. It's pretty easy though....took me less than 10 minutes to make.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 3 new hats I designed!! on: January 20, 2011 02:48:03 PM
I love letting yarn speak to me....and sometimes, these conversations turn into suprising projects for me!

I loved this taupe yarn and knew it needed to be a cloche. Being one for textures and details when I design, I made the base with a raised textured pattern and added a braided band....and of course, a little flower for cuteness!

The Chunky slouch hat came from two half used skeins of yarn...why not merge the colors together?!

The Hoodie Hat was born after inspiration from an afghan I saw...I shortened the shells and shaped it into a cute hoodie complete with ribbed edging & curly-q double ties.

Thanks for looking.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Shrug & Headband on: January 20, 2011 02:43:06 PM
I purchased the shrug pattern online and made this up for my daughter!

I made her a knit-look headband to match! (she loves wide headbands)

Thanks for looking!!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Headbands.... on: January 20, 2011 02:38:52 PM
I've been busy crocheting...I go in spurts.

In this post, 3 headbands.

The first two are textured headbands I designed...the flower was a pattern purchased off another site.

The blue ski band was also designed by me...made from Wool Ease Thick & Quick.

The last is a crochet covered headband with knit-look bow.

Thanks for looking!!
