52  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Brain Slug Headband and Fancy Gloves on: December 12, 2010 03:17:48 AM
I made this modified Brain Slug headband for the Geek Chic Swap Round 2.  Hand sewn felt and I glued it onto the headband.

For the Pamper Your Lady Bits Swap, I made these decorated gloves.  I figured if it is cold enough to wear gloves it doesn't mean you can't have pretty, fancy hands Smiley

53  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Autumn Embellished Wooden Spoon on: December 12, 2010 02:59:46 AM
I don't have the skills that many of the talented polymer clay crafters have and this is my first attempt at trying it.  I mixed a bunch of autumn colors together and twisted it onto this spoon for the I love Autumn Swap.

All three of the embellished spoons I made
54  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Cherry Skulls Dog Dish on: December 12, 2010 02:52:45 AM
I was an angel for the Dog Swap Round 4 and created these Cherry Skull dog dishes based off something from my partner's wist.  These dishes were once pink rimmed and said Princess in the center.  The holder was also white.

55  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Halloweekend Swap on: October 18, 2010 01:50:30 AM
It is getting very close to Halloween and I have been looking out for the Halloweekend swap but haven't seen one.  Was wondering if anyone was interested in doing it again?  Would open sign-ups no later than Tuesday, craft over the weekend and then sendouts by Tuesday of next week?  These dates can be flexible but want to have stuff sent in time for Halloween.  Anyone up for it?  I love these swaps, gets my creativity flowing.  I can organize if anyone is interested.
56  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Dexter Inspired Cutting Board on: September 24, 2010 04:42:54 PM
For the Dexter swap, I got the idea to do a fun play on words project.  His boat is named, "Slice of Life".  Food is known as a life source and what do we slice in on? A cutting board.  Putting these thoughts together, I created a woodburned image of Dexter's boat on the backside of a cutting board.

57  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Optimus Prime bath towel on: September 24, 2010 04:35:46 PM
This was for the 80's cartoon swap round 2.  I found a picture of Optimus Prime (80's cartoon version) online, printed it out and used it as a reference when to drew this out, then handpainted.  I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out.  Let me know what you think.

58  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Holiday decoration to nightlight on: September 24, 2010 02:17:24 AM
I got this severed foot Halloween decoration and decided to turn it into a nightlight for the Dexter swap.  An exacto knife and hot glue gun later and viola! This was taken with the lights off!

59  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Superhero Coasters on: September 24, 2010 02:06:33 AM
This is my very first attempt at embroidery and well, probably my last!  This was all freehand and not as easy as it looks.  I admire everyone that can hand embroider!
Clockwise from top left: Deadpool, superheroes rock (puffy paint), Harley Quinn, Joker, Lobo and Wolverine
60  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / A few fun shirts and a hoodie! on: September 24, 2010 01:47:36 AM
This is a shirt I made for co-workers who were named Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year respectively.  I printed out the pictures from the computer then stenciled them with spray paint.

I made this hoodie for the 80's cartoon swap round 2.  It is the Thundercats logo.  I hand drew the logo, cut it out and then stenciled it on with spray paint, super fun and easy.
