41  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rasberry Truffles Wristwarmers on: October 14, 2008 09:33:34 AM
This is my first completed project to post on craftster, so be gentle.

I was sifting through my yarn stash and I found two skeins of Paton's soy wool stripes yarn, so I figured I had better make something since I had been looking for soy yarn without knowing I had some,
so I tried this pattern out. http://www.innerchildcrochet.com/patterns/feminine_wristwarmers.html
And it was super easy and fun and I think they turned out pretty cute.
I was taking the picture myself with my grandma's phone so I didn't get a picture of both (I guess I could have laid them on something, just thought of that)  but I got the starting point of colors pretty close and it's the same gradient and color change on both of them.
42  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Group Projects? on: October 13, 2008 05:01:01 AM
Is there anything that could be worked on by two people at once and become some type of group project?
I want some type of bonding project that me and someone else could work on together, but I can't think of anything besides squares that would work.
Ideas or experiences welcome Smiley
43  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How many WIPs? on: October 10, 2008 08:31:21 AM
I have

1. Queen Anne Lace Scarf
2. Lion brand homespun yarn stripey scarf
3. Turtle soap saver
4. Modified "In Bloom" purse
5. Hat for my friend
6. Turkey ami

Seems like it should be more than that but that's all I can remember...
44  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Leftys unite on: October 10, 2008 08:27:53 AM
Woo lefties!  I'm a lefty and I taught myself with relative ease.  My grandma helped me out a little, which was confusing at first because she's a righty, which also means we can't really work on eachother's projects because we'd be going backwardsy.
My little sister is learning to crochet now, and she's a lefty, so I help her out a little and she's catching on quickish.
My boyfriend is also a lefty and he's crocheting great, I just show him how to do it and he mimicks it pretty well.

Way cool, I like the colors and the hoodedness of it.

Wow! So beautifultacular! There was an episode of Daria way back in the day when Jane was going to do something like that but her boyfriend ate all of her gummi bears.
When I saw that I hadn't imagined something this pretty.
49  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Large "woven" shopping bag! (IMG heavy w/ rough tute) on: October 03, 2008 06:15:23 AM
Nice! Sugar N Cream is quickly becoming one of my my favorite yarns to work with.  You bag looks like it would be super cute on a beach, you could always bring it along shopping for large light items like yarn or paper towels

Wow! There are so many adorable patterns I don't know which one to try first! I think maybe the Finest Hops Bag or maybe the socks, those are fairly rad.
