1  Re: Gypsy Swap Gallery! (NEW SENDOUT DATE 4/7) in The Swap Gallery by Dreamy_Cat on: April 11, 2010 08:19:51 PM
My loot from MadGypsy!! She totally outdid herself, and her crafts totally are my style! How did she know that I like crescent moons? Must be those Spirit boards she mentioned. Cheesy

She made me a pretty crescent moon mirror, that has incredible detail that my camera failed to pick up, my zoom-ins were all fuzzy. She sent a pretty blue lace bandanna, a awesome leather tribal belt that has been danced in already in-between my allergy fits, and a matching headband! She included a pretty book for writing down choreography notes in and some patchouli incense that smells beautiful!

If you have any better pics MadGypsy, feel free to post em, I lack skillz with the camera so bad it's almost funny!

...And I would so dress up like u did Saturn to show off my new belt if I weren't a mess with these allergies! Yarrg! AHHHH-chooooo! Dang oak pollen!

Onwards with the gypsy loot!

THANK YOU MADGYPSY!!!! You're Awesome!!

Well I eventually got to posting the pics of the package I made for my partner who went MIA before the send-off date. Tongue But the items went to good use in a care package with some baked goods and soaps for a dear friend who lost her husband in Iraq. I guess if I ever hear from my partner again I'll make her another package...but I haven't heard from her in almost a month...so it's not looking good for that option...

Please excuse my crappy a$$ pictures...lol I think my web cam works better than my camera...

LARGE ITEM: This Fae queen I made in my first ever porcelain class. She sits on top of a big hunk of rose quartz. The figurine and the rock were at first intended to be two separate gifts, she was an ornament, but it worked out great this way I think. The dress is made from gauze that I dyed and burnt up, and the wings were cut from a transparency.

MEDIUM ITEM: Jewlery set made from Pink shell, amethyst, rose quartz, crystal, glass, and sterling, with a chiffon bag. (I love them bags for gifts and mojo bags...i buy in bulk, lol)

SMALL 1 : Another necklace with wooden beads and (I think) the others are brass, if not they really look like brass... Tongue

SMALL 2 : Staghorn coral. This came from a city here called Tarpon Springs. Its a touristy destination populated by Greeks and renown for sponge and coral divers...and really good vegan gyros...but I didnt think that would ship well so i got the coral...

I had also gotten tea light candles and incense...but i don't have the piccy.

hope you like the package...
