That looks great!

I love how sharp digital cut out type art looks, I favour this method a lot myself. I definitly think you should recreate it in paper. Sounds like a wonderful project.  Smiley

That is just awesomeness. I can totally see why she approved.

I do generally find that kids draw the cutest things for monsters and characters.

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Sock creature painting on: April 20, 2011 12:27:56 PM

I'm turning my spare room into a crafting room, so at the moment I'm in the process of removing wallpaper and choosing paint colours. I painted this for when my room is ready. I'm so terribly excited! I've pretty much ran out of space for all my crafting gear. It's spilling out all over the house.

It features my latest sock creature. I've been making lots of them to sell lately as I'm doing a craft fair soon. As usual I have fallen in love with what I've made and so now can't sell him. He has become my new sock doll mascot. The phrase "From sock to squee" is something my boyfriend made up for me to sell my sock dolls under.

I'm usually crap with acrylics but I took it slowly today and this is where I've ended up. I'm stocked! It's gonna look ace on my wall.

Those are awesome! I love your style. I love the bold lines and bright colours.

Are you really gonna give your neice the one with the nipple tassel though? Or was it just the last one?
