1  Re: OTT 20 Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GelinaJo on: February 12, 2009 04:30:11 AM
Here is the OTT I made for CraftyMcCrafterson, she didn't have access to a camera so I'm posting pics for her that I took before I sent Smiley It's a keychain but the pieces can easily be removed to be magnets or pendants Smiley I chose her Strawberry theme (if you couldn't tell) and freehand drew the strawberry with her name on it Smiley What do you think?

Here it is an "I Spy Bag" from CraftyMcCrafterson! For those of you who don't know what it is.. (I didn't until a few weeks ago). It's a rice filled bag with little knick-knacks placed inside and you try to find the different items. It's nice for little ones and long car trips! Thanks so much, it's great!

Yes! Those pics are Pre-stitches! Here is one of him with his stitches. Ignore his wild crazy hair...we just finished a wrestling match...I was trying to put medical tape over his band-aid, he wasn't wanting to keep it on! So here he is the evening of the ER visit...anxiously awaiting his Motrin! If you think his hair looks bad after our match.. you should have seen mine! haha.

Ta Da! Here it is! My great package from Yelutci! Sorry for taking so long to post pics, it's been crazy around here family in from out of town and a trip to the ER to get my 20 month old stitches! (He flipped the laundry basket trying to get out and dove into the door hinge at my sisters house! Ouch!) Anyways... He and I both LOVE the little green Monkey! He carries it all over, gives it kisses, and makes monkey noises Smiley The shawl is beautiful and I love the pins to keep it on! The bookmark found a snuggle spot in my Bible Smiley Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into this package! Here are a few pics Smiley

5  Boys Outfit from Mens Shirt! *IMG HEAVY* in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by GelinaJo on: November 08, 2008 09:14:12 AM
Hi Everyone!
So I came up with an idea the other night and made my creation last night. I don't know if anyone else has done this or not..but I thought of it on my own Smiley I have been browsing tutorials and trying to find cute boy outfits to make for my 19 month old son. There are soooo many adorable ideas and dresses for little girls but the boys ideas seem to be very limited.. so I saw the tutorial to make dresses from mens dress shirts and came up with and idea to make it into a one piece outfit with long pants and short sleeves for my son. I like to layer clothes and this way he can wear it in the winter with a long sleeve shirt underneath and in the summer just the way it is Smiley I didn't use a pattern, I just layed a one piece outfit on top of the shirt, matched up the shoulders and cut around it adding about 1/2" to it for seams. I still have to hem the pant legs but wanted to try it on him first to check the length and such.. but here it is so far Smiley Please tell me what you think! Oh.. and Please excuse the wet drool marks.. he's teething! The shirt isn't stained.. just drooled on! Comments are appreciated Smiley

Hi Everyone!

Here is my son in his Little Skunk costume I made him for Halloween! This is my first time ever making an outfit or costume! He is 18 months old and I made up the pattern for the Bodysuit & tail myself. The hat patten I used was

This is the basic pattern, I did a few modifications to it Smiley

Here he is! Smiley

Please Leave comments! I would love to know what you think of it Smiley

8  Wool Hats With Ears & a Darling Beret! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by GelinaJo on: October 28, 2008 09:18:01 AM
So I wanted to make some hats...I only had a little bit of black fleece left so I made my niece a Beret and the little matching flower with a button center in the middle (my son is modeling my nieces hat). I love how it turned out.. I've never made one before! Then I wanted to make a hat for my son and didn't have any fabric left. So I scrounged around and found a bag of old wool sweaters (I bought from the thrift store to make wool soakers) and cut them up and made some hats! I had one very very soft merino wool sweater I used to line the light blue small eared hat. For the grey hat with the big ears I used a red t-shirt.... I love how they turned out, and soooooooo warm and comfy. My very first hats like this Smiley What do you think?Huh?  Any ideas on how to make the big eared hat less feminine? I was thinking of putting an animal applique on it.. but what other animals have "bunny ears" but isn't a bunny??? My hubby says " You could make him a donkey....but that would make you look like a jackass!" ....haha... any other ideas???

9  Re: A Boy and His Tutu.... in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by GelinaJo on: October 23, 2008 08:50:28 AM
For a Tutu with a 20" that size fits a big range of kids.. (12months-4years )elastic waistband I use 2 rolls of 6"wide x 25 yards long. I also put about 20-30 yards of ribbon in them.. I fold it into the contrasting color when I put them on the elastic. Here is a whole group of them.. I need my niece to come over so I can put them on her!

10  A Boy and His Tutu.... in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by GelinaJo on: October 23, 2008 08:42:19 AM
So for my nieces 3rd Birthday I made her a Tutu! However... her brother has seemed to take a liking to it! When he sat down in his Tutu to play with his sisters new doll house..the Tutu came off and we brought out the trucks! Haha. My niece loves to play dress up and always has to put on her princess dress and "Gas Sippas" aka... glass slippers when we come to visit. The school colors are blue and white and thought it would be cute to wear it to the football games and cheer them on Smiley What do you think???
