121  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Sexy box pleat skirt (cuz i got belly and butt!!) on: October 21, 2008 11:42:35 PM
So i needed something pretty to wear out on the weekend and i've had this DREAM SKIRT in my mind for weeks...

I couldn't find a pattern for it anywhere *tear* so i took the plunge and started with the pleats...

please excuse my trashed apartment in these pics!!  Embarrassed

I figured i could just construct the rest of the skirt around the pleats! And since it was super stretchy material, it left a bit of room for error!

The front...

and the back...

since there was no-one around to help me take photos, this is actually me wearing the skirt backwards...  Cheesy
I love the way it clings and then goes all fish tail like at the knee... i'll try get some better shots, if any one wants to see them!

It's my first completed clothing project, so any advice would be awesome!!

Thanks,
xx
hahaha!

So, after lurking around on here for a few weeks, i got motivated to CREATE!!
Thanks guys!

I got this real easy pattern from www.sewingpatterns.org.uk and spent a couple of hours knocking it up, I think she turned out ok!!

Although her back legs go under her body just a little too much, so she ends up on her bottom if she's standing on a slippery surface! hahahaha!!

any feed back would be good!! Smiley

(especially if you can't get to the pics, this uploader thing doesn't seem to like me very much!)
