11  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / A Stroller Quilt for my neighbor on: August 27, 2014 09:30:26 AM
When we moved into our home 17 years ago, our neighbors little girl was seven.  She is now married with a baby arriving soon.  It's a little boy and of course they are so excited and having fun decorating the nursery.  Their theme is whales, so I decided to make a little quilt with whales she can use in the stroller.  It is also the perfect size for the car seat.  It's my own design I made with fabrics from JoAnn's.  I really love the way it turned out.  It is hand quilted and I really do love the waves I sewed around the whales.

Love the color combination.  Lucky little girl.  Sounds like you had a great time with her and her parents.

How beautiful!  It would look great as a wall hanging, too.  Your quilting is perfect.  Love everything about this.

Great quilt.  The colors are so bright and happy.  The thumbnail is a real tease as it doesn't do the quilt justice.

I wouldn't have thought of putting these colors together but they really work.  Love the pattern.  It looks beautiful!

I really like this.  Was it hard to figure out how to measure for the scallops?  They turned out great.

Of course every little girl needs a quilt for her dolly.  This one is adorable and I love that you hand quilted it.

I really like the owl fabric.  The personalization is great and I love your hand quilting.
