1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Matryoshka quilt! on: July 13, 2015 06:01:16 AM
I love when I get a vision and create it.  Yours is gorgeous.  I love everything about it, from the hand stitched circles to the little embroidered faces.  Your friend is very lucky!

I just love this.  The fabric combination really works.  What are the dimensions?  Size of hexagons?

So pretty.  I love how you made the chevrons in different shades.  I bet your cousin's little girl will love it!

I love this.  So special. Wish I could see a close up of some of the blocks.
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Another one that took me nearly a year: handstitched quilt on: January 17, 2015 07:03:40 PM
I just finished this king size quilt.  It is completely hand stitched and hand quilted.  I even sewed the binding on by hand.
It was a simple pattern I made up using mostly charms packs and a jelly roll.  It took me nearly a year because I would get tired of it and put it up for a little while.  It makes me happy!

This is so beautiful.  I love the flowers against the dark background.  I really appreciate the time you put into it.  Thanks for sharing and not just lurking.

Thank you for sharing your story.  Working on this wonderful quilt must have been therapeutic.  I hope it brings your brother comfort, too.

I love giving little quilts as baby gifts.  It's something the parents can't buy and is something really something special to give.  This one is adorable.  All the fabrics go together and I love your appliques.  That quilting is pretty awesome, too.
