21  Stroller Quilt for Allie in Quilting: Completed Projects by SimplySandy on: May 12, 2010 04:06:58 PM
I bought this cute charm pack and made a stroller quilt for my grandbaby.  I backed it with pink chenille.  It has rickrack around the edge.  No need to add batting because of the chenille.  I still quilted it diagonally.  Easy, peasy!

Here's a picture of my wonky house blocks sewn together.  I made one of the blocks to have the right number of blocks.  What do you guys think?

23  Baby Quilt for my cousin in Quilting: Completed Projects by SimplySandy on: April 18, 2010 07:52:36 AM
My cousin, who has been married for 15 years and is 39 years old discovered she was pregnant and expecting her first baby.  It's a boy and she is still in shock but very excited.  My Aunt asked me to make a quilt for her and this is what I came up with.  After checking out her baby registery, I tried to go with the jungle theme she has going.

25  Re: English Patchwork/Hexagon Quilt - do I NEED paper templates? in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by SimplySandy on: March 20, 2010 02:25:06 PM
Or you could do what I did when I made my quilt.  No paper, just stitch to a 1/4 inch so you can add the next piece into the Y connection.  Hope this makes sense!

26  Ticker Tape Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by SimplySandy on: March 10, 2010 06:48:03 AM
I saw quilts made like this either on here or on someone's blog.  I loved how simple it was and the fact that it is quilted as you go.  Just cut a bunch of little scraps and place them on your quilt sandwich and sew them down.  When you're finished sewing, your quilt top is finished.  Easy, peasy!

MINE!
I was out of commission for 3 weeks with what they thought was mono, but what turned out to simply be a bad virus.  I'm back and have been super busy finishing blocks to meet the dead line.  Here is what I came up with.  Hope I didn't disappoint.

28  Misty's quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by SimplySandy on: January 30, 2010 10:00:33 AM
Here's a quilt I made for my youngest daughter.  It looks really great in her living room.  (displayed in my basement, not her living room).  She loves it.  It's really simple.  Just 5" blocks and 2 1/2" strips.  Hope you like it.

30  Re: 50 States Block Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SimplySandy on: September 17, 2009 02:17:57 PM

These are my last blocks.  The first one is Maryland.  I chose the navy fabric because Annapolis is there.  The second one is West Virginia.  Their state insect is the honey bee and their state butterfly is the monarch.
The last one is South Dakota. (sorry it's so blurry) They have Jelly Stone National Park.  Hope you like them.
