lozzieozzie, that starghan is AWESOME!

rottenlittleboys, the yarn was ok.  Not much stretch at all, made the heel a bit difficult.  I thought I was going to break my needles!  But the yarn is so soft!  Smiley  I have more of it because I got it on sale, but I'm not sure that I will be making it into socks.  Or if I do, I might do them at a bit looser gauge.  We'll see.

I've been away from craftster for a while -- but I've still been working on my list!

Super excited that so far this year, I've finished knitting a pair of socks each month!  I'm on my June socks now, pretty light green ones, that I will probably get to keep for myself.

Rainbow socks for DD

Shawl for sis's birthday

Cardigan for DD

I also got completed (but can't find pictures right now) a shawl for DD, socks for my mom, socks for me, and some of DD's summer clothes - pj pants, a dress, and a shorts/tank outfit.

I haven't done a swap in ages, but this might just be the thing to pull me in again!!

And cross #29 off my list -- Lovebird stuffie for Valentine's Day

There's a felt heart in the pocket that says Mommy <3 Emily, and a small pink stuffed heart as well.

I finished my socks!  I am beyond excited to have a pair of handknit socks for myself!  Pictures once I find my camera.

And I started on an Elliot sweater for DD, using some very pretty blue and purple Cascade 220 paints I had leftover from my longie-making days.  I should have exactly enought to finish the sweater in the 2T size.   Smiley

Tonight's project is to make this Lovebird stuffie for DD for St. Valentine's Day.  I still have to dig through my scraps for the perfect fabric, but I know it's in there somewhere!!

Finished my socks!  They have been laying around for over a year now.  I am so happy to have them done!

12. Finish basic socks

Pictures once I find my camera.

I had to make a trip to JoAnn's yesterday because I broke my last sewing machine needle.  I made it out of there with only needles, a marking pen (my last one is out of ink), and a zipper so I can attempt to sew an A-line skirt for myself (fabric and pattern is already in the stash).

I think that's a first for me!   Cheesy

I have lots of scraps, not many fat quarters, but I sort them into plastic tubs by color mostly.  Blue and green in one, pink and purple in another.  I have another tub devoted entirely to flannel since I used to make cloth diapers and have a TON of flannel.  They're so messy and squashed, but I don't want to cut them up into squares that can be easily folded, because I don't know what I'm going to do with them yet.  I use them a lot for applique and stuffie making, sometimes the littlest scrap is all you need!
