41  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Selling Things Made From a Tutorial. on: August 19, 2010 08:49:23 PM
I've purchased patterns from etsy sellers who explicitly say that patterns are for personal use.  Later I buy a related book and the exact same pattern is in the book, exactly the same.  I have purchased sewing patterns and browse etsy and the EXACT item down to the decoration is being listed as personal use only, copyright by seller.  I'm like WHAT!

I am ready to disregard these statements since the copyright of the book, and patterns predates their supposed ownership of the pattern.

Unless they invented sewing or crocheting, etc., I don't think it's a big deal.  How can they prove they didn't copy it?  How can they prove you or I copied it?

Chrysler, Ford, GM, Toyota all sell cars its fair competition.

crazyd,

Thats right!  Work from Right to left starting at the beginning of each row.

I'll posts my completed bracelets soon.

Thanks!

Yes the number in () is the number of beads I need.

The pattern is two drop peyote so one row is 14 beads and the next row is 12 beads.

I have a pix of the project but I can't share the etsy pattern.  I's a peyote word chart and the bead chart is too small to read.  If I try zooming in the chart for a close up, all the numbers are fuzzy.

I asked the seller to send a bigger peyote chart so I can read the numbers.

Thanks.
