I'd be interested. I live in Chesapeake, but would'nt mind the little road trip. Sounds like a great idea, I love the concept of doing it every few months, good for you trying to open everyone up to diy businesses/crafts in your area, I'm sure it'll be well recieved Smiley Keep me posted ! Or let me know if you need any help with advertising and whatnot Thanks ,

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: frustrated in selling - need advice on: February 18, 2005 05:45:28 AM
Hi sweetie, that's awful, sorry that happened to you.

I agree with designer diva, that really sounds like a rip off and even if it was somehow legitmate, extremely unfair for your jewelery business as a big factor in consignment is not having all the overhead to have to worry about, you jus shouldnt have to dish out that much. You could either start your own site up or put all that money back into materials and such for your jewelry with $350. Also a friend/biz partner Leeah and I have an online collaborative consignment shop"Craft Addict" that's aim is to promote and expose independent designers (www.craftaddict.tk).

It will be launching the 28th of this month. And instead of $350 (goodness that's so ridiculous) we only charge a $10 setup fee ( one time) to help with the initial over head, so we only have to charge each consignor 20% of their sales from then on. You can check out the site's Consign F.A.Q's guide for tons more info. And we're still looking for a few more consignors (specifically stationary and jewerly to round out the other designers different wares) so if you're interested let us know where we can view your designs.

Thanks so much and good luck to you, even if you dont work with us, there are tons of other online shops like in the link below you could consign with, good luck with your designs!

too cute! that would make a great baby shower present! thatd be great for toting around when you just need bare essentials, instead of a big huge diaper bag! or just as a really cute purse for anyone. nice idea.  Smiley

this is an awesome idea! exp. since I'm going crazy trying to finish up sewing, painting, candle making projects all at once this week!! It would definatly be a worth while crafty venture, cause I'm sure it would free up alot of time to really enjoy Christmas and be able to relax and remember its not about going crazy at the last moment over presents lol!! great idea, keep me posted as to how it goes for ya!
