Great package fiddlegirl8!!!  All of the baskets are super cute!

I received an AMAZING package from my partner Eclectic Dreamer on Monday.  I'm sorry it took me so long to post pictures, this week has been much more of a train wreck than I expected. 

She made a really beautiful basket.  I love black with vibrant colors and she found some amazing fabric.  I really love it!  She also did an amazing job centering the fabric!  I always try to work with fabrics where it doesn't matter if you center something...lol. 



She also sent me four coasters straight off my pinterest!  I love them - so cute and nautical. 



I had asked for Christmas ornaments in my questionnaire and she sent me really cute bear ornaments and M&M ornaments.  She also included a tiny notebook made from a paint chip.

This is also the first time I've been able to catch up with the gallery in awhile.  Man, all of the cards are awesome!  I always love looking through the ATC swap galleries.  There is so much creativity everywhere!

Basket - I kept it pretty simple, but then added a fabric flower





I made her a journal for the other item.  I recently took a coptic book binding class and have been trying to make sure all I learned sticks.  It actually isn't too hard once you learn the stitch.  I collaged the covers with some ephemera I had and included a couple cat silhouettes.

I made this Edward Scissorhands amigurumi for a really awesome swap partner a couple months ago and am just getting around to posting pics.  He is based on the amazing Edward made by shelina - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=324425.0

I actually modified a pattern for a Captain Jack Sparrow amigurumi (I felt it was pretty fitting) to get the general body shape. I made up the fingers as I went along, using floral wire to make them bendable.  Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and my swap partner liked it too.    C&C welcome!

At the beginning of last year, I decided to make a wonderful swap partner of mine, Gspinn, a Yoshi egg granny square blanket and my husband a blanket based on his favorite video game for Christmas.  It took much conniving (and the help of a good friend) to figure out exactly what my husband's favorite video game is - Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past.  With my friend's help, I found some sprites online and went to work. 

I used the Yoshi blanket as a cover for all of the green, white, and black squares in the Zelda blanket!  I did the other color squares secretly and it worked!  He never guessed!  I managed to have it all pieced together and the edging stitched in time for Christmas, but just finished up weaving the ends this.  I finished the Yoshi blanket on time though!    Anyway, here are the pictures -



On the floor in our living room.  (The weird corner is because I had to photoshop it as a projection in order to get a view straight from the front.)



It is about 8 feet tall and very snuggly!    It has almost 300 squares in it, if I remember correctly. 



The Yoshi blanket covers a full sized bed.  I actually did not mean to make it quite so large, but realized it was going to be big much too late, lol.  The picture above is before I weaved in the ends. 





Gratuitous cat photo.    Our cats approved of both blankets, which made it rather hard to work on them at times..... 



A close-up of one of the squares.  I used Caron One Pound yarn, which was nice to work with and had a decent selection of colors.  I hope you like them as much as I do!  They did take a fair bit of time, though I think I'm hooked on making blankets now.  The pay off when you finish is just so great!
