1  Gingerbread tree in Winter Holidays by nualapegasus on: December 15, 2010 08:54:20 AM
I don't have room for a real tree this year.  So I made a plush one.

Here is the plush tree.  The fabric I used has gingerbread motifs on it,because I love gingerbread.  For "lights" I used sequins and seed beads.  The tips have "Holly" made from sequin leafs and E beads.

Here is a detail of the Holly and lights.  Note I put a gold heart on a gingerbread boy. Grin

4  Alas, my love... in CHALLENGE 36 ENTRIES by nualapegasus on: March 02, 2009 12:45:14 PM
I choose for my entry the song, Greensleeves.  So I made green sleeves!  See!

The song is from 16th Cent. England.  At that time, sleeves were made so you could detach them from your outfit to change the look of the dress or clean them.  (Cleaning clothing at that time was a boar!)  I used an out of print Simplicity pattern and some green fabric I got for free.  I'm planing to attach the sleeves to outfits with pins.

Seeing that the song is about love gone bad.  I put a little hart on the cuff of each sleeve.

Pic of me in them!

5  snow ATCs in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by nualapegasus on: December 02, 2008 08:24:48 AM
Here are the first few ACTs I've done.  They are all about snow!

"Let it Snow"

"Flake Off"

"Snowman"  The words are form the song Snowman by BNL.

I'm making more.  I like doing these tiny art works!
Thanks for looking.

6  Re: Halloween costume ideas for 2008 in Halloween Costumes by nualapegasus on: October 20, 2008 12:03:02 PM
I'm gong as Doctor Who (ten) this year.  I have almost everything I need.  Blue suit, white shirt, dark rimmed glasses (my old pair), "psychic paper," and I've even made the sonic screwdriver!

I just need a tie, and maybe the long coat. Smiley

I finished my Sonic Screwdriver for my Halloween costume!

Here it is!  It's a penlight base.  I used poly clay for the housing and the button from a cheep click pen.  Here it is lit up.

Make your own "Veeee" sound effects. Wink
