When I saw the button covered sofa entry for decorate with buttons, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299469.0 I immediatly scanned my room for something to cover!!
And seeing as my bed was the first thing i saw, i figured i'd go with it. So here it is!!!

I stuck all sorts on here, jewellery, shells, bottle tops, figurines, and of course, buttons.
There's still a couple of areas that need building up, they look a little bare!!

A couple of bits have fallen off, so im working up the courage to get the glue gun out and stick them on again, as i am really good at burning myself!

So, for our last project at college we were allowed to do whatever we liked, so i set my brief as being recycled, and set in another world.
Most of the things are recycled, bar the sack cloth, and the canvas fabric for the trousers.
I made 4 outfits, based on 4 characters who lived in the world.

All together:

The Water Goddess, Tethys. This outfit was made from a new but modified bikini, and the fabric was new. I was going to use an old Bikini, but my tutor said it was unhygienic.

Child of the Wood. The dress was an old nightie, and the sleeves are form an old shirt, and the lace is from lace curtains . The leg warmers are from an old jumper.

The back of the Princess ( And the model for the Child of the wood didn't seem to take the 'nude underwear!!' Advise.  The princess dress is made from an chiffon night top, and from scraps of fabric, the lace is one maaaasive lace curtains.

And the Villager. I cheated here, pretty much all of this outfit is new 


I loved doing this project, very very much, it taught me alot, as lots of things worked, but more things didn't!!

A full Circle skirt, With a fancy ribbon waistband Its got calico underneath, with makes it hang lovely   Im really not girlie, but i love this!! And I do not know why!! It just looks like a 'happy' peice of clothing. Anyone else agree? or am i just odd?? haha.

Yep, I was on a hippie Faerie binge. Heres another piece of faerie Clothing i made:

So, i took a nightie from a table top sale, ( I have no idea what these are called in America...If there called the same, please feel free to laugh!!)
And some sleeves from an old jumper/sweater, I turned the sleeves upside down and sewn button holes in them, with buttons on the straps of the dress, so you can remove them if its warm, and some pretty leaves a round the bust Not a major Recon, but enough!!

So, I found this gorgeous fabric at a charity shop, I have no idea what it was, two, long thin strips?? I guessed it was a table runner?
Anywhoo, I I also found this pattern, and knew they were destined to be together
I mucked up matching the pattern a little i think, but in the end it kinda looked cute that way

I love,love love antique watches and I wanted to make something antique-ish looking from the old, ugly watches i had laying around!! So, i comibined it with my love for old maps and made this:



The map looks pixelated, but I swear its not in real life!! haha. Its an old bestian map of England  Its strung from leather with a pin on the back and had a dragonfly and a rose to give a little 'extra'.

I have Finaly made a doll after lookign at all the beautifull ones here !
I decided to make a Dolly for my baby cousin, for Christmas ( Yes, its taken this long to get round to posting !!) and I didnt want to make a 'cute girlie' dolly, as its not my style, and I dont think its my Aunts either !

Anyway, I decided to make 'Molly the Dolly' (My Papa named her). She lives in a flowerpot and lives in the bottom of the garden! Where she looks after all the bugs and flowers, and has other general adventures with her friends.
I so,so,so enjoyed making Molly, and im going to try to do lots more !!

I made her dress from scratch, its patchwork, and took me ages !! Those squares are TINY!!! but it was worth it i think!
She also has a frilly blouse and bloomers oh ! and a little hat, that was WAY to small once she greww all that hair 
My fave bit is her hair, which is made from yarn and a wooly jumper (sweater) that I un-threaded in places. It also has beads and pretty things in too !

Sorry about the picture quality, Molly is hiding from the bitter,bitter cold, and my camera likes to be quite rubbish sometimes !!

Im wanting to make some Dungarees for my 2 year old cousin, and i thought i had a pattern, but I dont ! Nor do i have some trousers of his to use! :S
Just wondering if anyone knew where i can find a pattern or USEFULL size guide? the guides i find are uhm, rubbish.
