1  Re: Sweet and Easy Valentine's Day Swap GALLERY, SEND OUT 2/06/2010 in The Swap Gallery by ineedart on: February 09, 2010 04:56:04 PM
I received yesterday from mocka_moo. Here is a picture of the goodies! (She also sent a pair of earrings to match, which I forgot to get a picture of. I'll try to add it later)

She crocheted a really cool scarf which just amazes me with its curliness. I have no crochet skills whatsoever and am in awe, really! She also made a pretty matching headband (I think that's what its for...am I right? Smiley and earrings, all in a beautiful purple color. It is the exact same purple as my very favorite sweater. She also made an amazing hand drawn Valentine which is going to hang on my inspiration board in my craft area. And treats too! My kids are like vultures hanging around waiting for me to open something  Grin Thanks Mocha!

2  Tea Party Play Mat in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ineedart on: December 29, 2009 05:04:27 AM
For Christmas I made my daughter a tea party play mat. I got the idea here http://xxsweetfancyxx.blogspot.com/2009/08/coopers-tea-party.html

The tea cups are open at the top so she can put in a play tea bag (made of tulle and felt scraps). The cookies, plates and tray all have velcro so they can be moved around. This project was so much fun and I am looking forward to adding more pieces to it.

Finally had a chance to upload the pictures now that Christmas is over...here are some tie onsies I made for my baby boy:

His and hers toiletry cases (or whatever they are called):

Bibs (the one on the right was my husbands idea):

Matching flannel jammies for my kids:

And my most favorite gift of all, and the one that took me the longest....

A tea party play mat for my daughter. The tea bags come out, the cookies and plates are velcro so she can move them around, and I made a carrying case for it all too.

oneredboot: Your socks are just amazing!! And the bags are so cool.

I love the stuffy stuffers idea too! Another idea for next year...a month of crafting for kids. I can't remember if we did that or not.

Here are the latest few things I have completed:

This was supposed to be done during the 'works in progress' month...hahaha. At least its done. The picture doesn't really do too much for it but it did turn out fine.

These are for my son. I also made a fleece pillow for my daughter but I wrapped it without taking a picture of it.  Roll Eyes

I finished up the ninth pair of jammies yesterday, so I am finished with that particular Christmas goal. Here are better pictures of a few of ones I just gone done.

I totally used vintage bakelite buttons on these, but I figured I can always take them off when my son outgrows them, right? I happened to become the ultra-proud owner of a HUGE box of vintage buttons, so I have been trying to use them as opposed to hoarding them for the 'perfect' project.

There's a few of us here with little babies! Mine's four months old....already. Here are the jammies I finished up. The picture is not great, but it'll have to do. I have since finished two more pairs and I did take better pictures of those, so I'll post in a few days. I started 9 pairs (3 pairs for each of my kids is the theory...), and so far I have completely finished 8!!! Yay for the Christmas Crusade!!

Here are a few of my latest projects. I finished another pillowcase so now the pair is done (well, after ironing) and that means my grandparents are DONE! Wahoo!

Then, I monogrammed a pashmina scarf for my aunt. So she is DONE! Yeah!

I also just finished 5 pairs of flannel jammies for my kids...pictures to come!

8  Monograms are fun!! in Needlework: Completed Projects by ineedart on: October 22, 2009 05:52:14 PM

After getting a monogram book at Joanns, I am addicted to monograms!! They go so quick. The purple J I did on a vintage hankie for my mom.  I am making everyone on my Christmas list monogrammed pillowcase sets so that's what the c and the b are.

9  Fall Jumper in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by ineedart on: October 20, 2009 10:53:40 AM

I just finished this jumper for my daughter from one of those new 'Project Runway' patterns. The way they are laid out is a little annoying, but I guess that's how it is when you can pick and choose so many options. However, I am pretty happy with how it turned out and she loves it! I ended up finding the perfect heart-shaped beads to match from my stash...I love it when that happens!

Finally, I've got the pictures uploaded....here is what I have done in the last few weeks. I am doing monogrammed pillowcases for most everyone on my list. Here are the first two:

And I made a project bag for my sister out of.....a placemat!!!

And I embroidered a vintage hankie for my mom:
