Humph, I haven't started my inchies yet  Better get onto that. Just added another swapper to the list.

I'm trying to think what I want to do with these ABC inchies. I haven't done much thinking about them yet. I did have one idea, but I dismissed it. But FYI you could do a whole alphabet of colours! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors I think I might just dig out the whimsys and scrapbooking stuff and just create!

That...is hilarious. I'm not even added to the list of swappers having just sent in my questionnaire, and that is the exact idea I came up with, down to the Wikipedia entry list of colors. >_<

I'm going to have to think outside the box now. :-D

Thanks! I did make it up myself, though admittedly I was inspired by all the beautiful free-form embroidery projects I've seen all over the web (especially this one)

I decided I wanted to make an inchie mosaic, kind of like Llisaredd's project, so I decided to make some of my own to go with the ones I received in the Beginner Inchie swap long loooong ago.





I used mostly watercolor and ink, with some collage there as well. A small beginning to a (hopefully) big end!

I love the trend of hanging embroidery projects still in their hoops, so I've decided to make my own hoop-y wall! This is numero uno.







It took me about six hours of stitching from start to finish, because I got in the zone like a maniac and wouldn't stop even for food. God help me if I ever try to do a really big project. >_<

I used chain stitch, bullion, whipped spider wheels, French knots, and the like. Really pretty simple. :-D

I left mine plain, though I think I wrote the name of the swap and my username on the back of one of them. Like someone else said, I figure most people are planning to showcase only the front of them, so why bother? :-)

Yay, cuteness! I love the birds on a wire triptych, and I LOVE the Gir. :-D

I have made exactly one quilted thing in my life-- a table runner that was constructed during a quilting class looong ago. So this table quilt (made to keep my coffee table from getting more scratched up) was a big undertaking for me. I winged the whole thing, which I'm very proud of even though the design is so simple it will probably make you experienced quilters weep with boredom. :-D
