This look like they are absolutely to die for! Can't wait to try them!
2  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Christmas sugar cookies on: December 11, 2008 08:16:44 PM
Thanks... after looking at the corn syrup I had, i definitely decided I had to use the light one. I just haven't had time to go to the store to get some. I have the cookies in the freezer waiting to be iced!

I have clear vanilla extract that I always use in my recipes where there is a chance that discolouration might occur.

But I have a question about the corn syrup. Did you use the light/white corn syrup or the regular darker variety?Huh? I have never used the corn syrup in my icing but recently read a recipe for it and after seeing your glossy icing, I definitely want to use it!
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re: pie frenzyyy [as image obese as these pies are going to make me] on: November 16, 2008 07:10:57 AM
I would also love the "one more and i'll be a housewife" recipe.
I am a pie fanatic. In fact, birthday cake does not exist in my family. It's all about Birthday pie! My birthday is in Feb and every year, for the past 15 years, my mom has frozen a peach pie in Aug/Sept when the peaches are in season, and brought it out!
5  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Please tell me you've heard of this website! on: October 08, 2008 12:21:57 PM
Never heard of it, but just checked it out and it's already a bookmark! Thanks for sharing!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tutorial: funky travel bag. . .(pictures) on: October 08, 2008 12:17:40 PM
My girlfriend made this bag and I fell in love with it. I've booked a trip to the UK(travelling from Canada) and will take a sidetrip to London and I've decided that this is the perfect bag to take with me so I don't have to take my entire suitcase with me into London. I'm so excited to make it!!

I agree. The Shape of the purse is perfect! I haven't checked out the link but definitely will and have to flag it as a TO-DO Project!
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Giant fabric flower bouquet, easy peasy - TUTE on: October 06, 2008 10:20:59 PM
These are gorgeous. I absolutely love flowers but once my wedding day comes I don't know if I can bite the bullet and spend the money on them. BUT THESE! These are a different story. I'm bookmarking these! Thanks for the Tute Too! I'd love to see them with your/the bridesmaid dresses too!

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: WHO LIKES SCRAPPING RECIPES??? on: September 23, 2008 08:40:29 PM
A couple years ago, my aunt gave me a spiral bound scrapbook with the title my Favourite Christmas Recipes (or something to that extend) as well as family recipes for our family's standard holiday fare.

At that point I had never scrapped before but had fun picking out christmas papers that co-ordinated and all I did was cut and paste them into this ghetto scrapbook. Now that I have taken a Intro to Scrapbook Course and seen more of the products that are out there, I am dying to redo this scrapbook.

I'd love to see some sample of other people's scrapped recipes!
