41  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Tiny space, tiny garden on: August 11, 2011 07:43:50 AM
well I see now that I am totally out of the loop - maybe it would help if I read the directions once in a while.  I wondered where all the awesome gardeners were - THEY ARE HERE!!!!  I'm reposting this...in the right place!  Wink

Okay - I am so not worthy for this challenge, but I'm pretty excited with how well my tomatoes and peppers have been growing so...I'll share my humble pictures.  Wink

This is Ninja the mighty tomato guardian

These are my brandywine tomatoes that are just flowers right now

And another shot of my mystery tomatoes....

Can't wait to see more pics from the other great gardens!

Here's what I've got going on since my original post - the new guys in town:
I don't know if I mentioned this but I got two packets of organic tomato seeds from two different people.  One packet I know had brandywine, some cherokee purple, yellow pear and yellow cherry.  The other packet was a complete surprise.
So here are the first ones (?)

And I'm pretty sure these are the brandywine (I only know by the leaf description.)

And then we have this plant that is still unidentified.  Very delicate and lacey - no tomatoes yet, but does anyone here have a clue?

PS - I'm convinced that all the people with the truly magnificent gardens are so busy weeding and watering that they haven't had a chance to take photos for this post!!  Wink
(They're not too busy - they just read the directions and posted in the right place...not like me.  )  Wink

I'm adding to this post - the final framed piece.  Thanks to everyone for your great comments!!

I did these for my mom for Easter - I'm going to put them in a little square frame. I hadn't tried my hand at this kind of tinyness until a recent swap and found out it's kinda fun!!...all I can say is Thank God for reading glasses!  Wink

...anda few close ups!  Wink

43  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Lucky Seven on: April 02, 2011 05:33:01 PM
I know there have been a bunch of these posted - and I made lots of these at Christmas - mostly in sets of threes, but this time I thought I'd just keep on going til it got a little to tricky to manipulate on the machine.  Wink  So here you have it - seven cloth baskets (that I just can't seem to stop making!)  Wink  OH!  And the little felted owl is one that my daughter made me for Valentine's Day.  Smiley

And this one is a bit blurry - but gives you an idea of the colors!  Smiley

Thanks for checking this out!!
44  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Zoltar the Magnificent!! on: March 25, 2011 08:17:00 AM
So, I am a participant in the Wicked Circus Altered Altoid Tin swap- if you haven't checked out the gallery you should - there's all sorts of awesomeness in there!  This was my first tin and I'm pretty sure there will be more to come.  So here ya go - the tin I sent to my partner.....

and here's what was inside....

loads of good fortune.  Wink

Lots of fun! Thanks for taking a look!  Smiley
45  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Queen of Knick-Knackery on: March 05, 2011 09:19:20 PM
-AKA cackle.  Wink  At least that is a nick name her husband has given her, so when we were partnered up for the Very Important SOB swap, I just couldn't resist.  She's the same basic pattern as my Mother Earth doll, but covered in "Knick KNacks" and with a different face, (embroidered) and hair do.  So....here she is!

I made this for the IYP swap. My partner received her so I'll post a few pics.  She's my own pattern...and so are the critters.  Wink I think she's not quite 2 feet tall give or take.

and of course....her little shoes.  Wink

47  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Cello Lady: 2nd Concerto on: January 28, 2011 02:20:26 PM
I posted a cello lady pillow that I made for my sister a month or so ago.  Well who would know that I would get a request from a second cello lover - this time with a few requests.  Red hair and black boots with fur lining - HA!  Well, here she is in all her glory.

And of course....the litle black boots.  Smiley

48  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Daily Dose of Oddness on: December 18, 2010 03:50:40 PM
thelast of my sewn Christmas gifts - a log  with just the right touch of wood fungus.  Wink  Why you ask?  Because the person I'm sending it to has the same kind of strange brain that I do.  Thanks for looking.  Smiley

49  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Cello Lady on: December 16, 2010 12:21:21 PM
Always inspired by the work of Mimi Kirchner I came up with the "Cello Lady" pillow/doll. She is a gift for my sister (who plays the cello.)  Smiley  Made entirely of remnant fabric, (upholstery fabric and wool,) and an embroidered face.  She is about a foot and a half tall.  Thanks for taking a look!

And had to include a picture of her cute little shoes.  Wink

50  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Sleepin' With the Fishes on: December 08, 2010 11:53:13 AM
Not sure this is the right category - but I made this fish pillow for my nephew who loves to fish. (Just give me an idea and I'll run with it.)  Wink  Its my own pattern, about 30" long and made entirely of remnants - (I can not resist the remnant bin at the fabric store!) There are shiney beads around the tail and eyes and his mouth is embroidered.  Thanks for taking a peek!   Cheesy
