Sweetyetevil I have to tell you what an incredible help your wist has been! I've been non-stop inspired by what I've found on there (and that hardly ever happens!)  I'm so excited by what I have so far, its going to be torture waiting til after Halloween to send!  Today my daughter gave me a condesending look and said - "Really Mom? Christmas in October?"  I told her absolutely not - I have vowed not to send until November - and there's nothing wrong with a little Christmas in November is there?  Wink

Excuse me me, but could someone please please PLEEEEEASE keep me out of Michaels?? They keep handing out those 40% off coupons and I keep falling for it and going back for more! I have a bag full of odds and ends - MORE than enough to get this stocking put together and filled - I do NOT need to go back!  Help me! Shocked

as of today I have FOUR items crafted and a few little odds and ends.  I have 1 idea I can get started on but still have to come up with a couple of more crafty ideas - and of course I still have to get the stocking together,  Sweetyetevil - I will try to control myself and make sure I don't send til AFTER Halloween!  LOL  Smiley

2188  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Journal cover on: September 28, 2010 07:03:00 AM
Thanks for the great comments - and here's a confession...If you think you don't have the time or patience then you just might want to give this a try!  I've always felt like I'm not disciplined enough to be a quilter - even though I would love to learn how!  When I saw this method of piecing I just knew it was calling my name!  Some of the more technically inclined participants in the stitch along modified Teesha's method to be a little more "ordely"- but I LOVE the wonkiness of the originals!
I encourage you to giveit a try...you might become an addict like me!  Wink
2189  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Journal cover on: September 27, 2010 10:58:27 PM
I posted this in the Teesha Moore stitch along thread.  This is my third journal cover - I've liked each one better than the one before!  This one will be flying to Florida to live with my sister.  Smiley  These are a lot of fun - I love the crazyness of them and I'm always picking up a little charm here or a card of buttons there with the thought that they'd be perfect for this kind of project. (Why else would someone buy a string of eight squirrel charms??  LOL)  Hope you like!
Here's the front...

and the back..... (the spine has antiquey bells and buttons running down the length.)

Thanks for looking!  Smiley
2190  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Teesha Moore Type Journal.. anyone want to play?? on: September 27, 2010 10:49:52 PM
Okay!  Journal #3!!  Finally finished this for my sister's birthday - only a couple of weeks late (as is tradition between her and me!)  Wink  I kind of feel like I'm getting a little more into the groove - and have been collectiong little charms etc along the way.  I did something a little different with the closure this time - oh buttonhole, how you taunt me!
the front....

and the back.....

By the way Zombie - that crocheted strap goes PERFECT with your bag - great idea!
