2071  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Bird Mobile! on: September 30, 2009 11:34:55 AM
I got this idea (and the little bird pattern) off of Spool.  Fun and easy - at least until you get up to the balancing part - a great way to use up lots of bits and pieces from your fabric stash!  Smiley
I had a hard time getting a good shot - finally hung it in the doorway.  This one will be going to Florida to live with my sister - her month-late birthday present!

Grrrr - this is completely in the WRONG place - I'm sure someone will be kind enough to boot it into the right compartment!  Sorry about that!

She's so cute!

Make sure when you post a tutorial that it gets marked as "mature". Wink

Congratulations on that sweet baby girl - nothing like a new baby! Smiley

I feel like a slow-poke!! lol I haven't started anything yet.... I have a few ideas for the stuffers but not many. I have a wicked idea for the stocking itself BUT I just have to get it outta my head and onto the stocking the way I see it!!! LOL and that's the tough part!!! hahahahahaha

I know exactly what you mean - I have a sketch on a scrap of paper and all the fabulous details in my head - just have to get that whole idea into pattern form so I can get this stocking started! Cheesy

I love color - but that black and white bathroom is fabulous!  You definitely have an eye for putting things together-everything about it is perfect.  Glad to see the bird cabinet in action - a great piece! Smiley
2079  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Barefoot sandals on: September 22, 2009 06:58:46 AM
Thanks - they are threaded on stretch magic, so stretchy enough to adjust a bit.  Luckily she is just one size smaller than me so I could guesstimate her size, but I think they could maybe be made in small medium large and XL.
2080  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Barefoot sandals on: September 21, 2009 05:40:28 PM
I'm not much of a beader and I know these have probably been posted a bunch of times, but here's my go at barefoot sandals.  A good friend of mine wanted a pair for a beach wedding she's going to in Cabo.  They are very pretty on, and if it weren't for my big feet with a broken toe you might be able to tell. Cheesy  They are made with purple, irridecent purple, clear & silver beads and pearls. A pretty simple project - they sell for between $40-$60 on the internet, so she got a deal having me make them for her! Wink
