Just made another journal cover for the Make A Friend swap!  Hadn't done one in a while and forgot how time consuming they can be - but always fun to see them come together!

I got the most fabulous packages from the talented MissingWillow!  The first is my DIY - since we are both sinfully jealous of Craftster's amazing paper crafters she sent me a box FULL of everything I could possibly need to make zillions of nifty creations - check this out!!  Two old books,(and I am a sucker for old books) one is fairy tales and the other a catalog from 1901!!  Hilarious in that you could buy everything from saddles to underwear to living room furniture out of that thing!

The rest of the box is filled with all sorts of papers and ephemera - a goldmine!!  I'm so excited to dive in!

And you might have noticed those shiny blank Altoid - like tins with all the cool doo dads inside.  Here's another way too cute item - holy crap - look how tiny these are!!

On to box two - which smelled fabulous before I even opened it!!  A box full of MissingWillows wonderful handmade soaps!!  Are these cute or what?? The bright pink one is a felted soap and the duck one glows in the dark - tee hee!

Then we have a sweet little locket ...with a solid scent inside - yum!  It came in this pretty little tin -way to go with the paper crafting Connie!  Wink
And speaking of yum...honey from her bees!!  I've already had some!  Smiley (But didn't take a picture!!)

And last but not least...two things from my wist - these adorable little felted owls (in their very own nest) and teeny tiny animal cracker earrings - cuteness overload!  Cheesy

OH!!  And wait - I got two bags of delicious wooly fleece from her very own sheep - can't wait to incorporate it into a project!

So there you have it - pretty awesome don't you think?  Thanks a million MissingWillow!

Okay...prepare yourself for the awesomeness.
First of all, I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with "The Most Interesting Man in the World", but Missing Willow is his female counterpart.  Smiley  She has quite the resume of unusual and - well - INTERESTING past jobs and of course presently lives a life that I can only dream of.    Seems we have quite a few things in common though and I am just tickled pink to have her as my partner for this swap.  Okay, on with the show!
Here's the shot of the whole she-bang.  TWO boxes full to the brim!!

Notice all the cute handmade bags that all my goodies came packaged in!!
Here's "something from her favorite store - CafePress. A mug with her farm logo on it!
And something she thinks smells good - beeswax candles - from her very own bees!

Now comes something she carries in her purse which is really four somethings and came with a funny story about her and cackle - another awesome craftster! A Notebook for great ideas and recipes, index cards to write down gift ideas for family and friends throughout the year, Dr.Pepper Lip Smackers and an adorable business card holder!!

A kitchen essential is a shiny new ladle and something edible is two glorious , blue ribbon winning jars of homemade jam.  You may notice that one jar is missing...I wonder where it went.... Wink

Something for organization - some handy dandy little containers - I love little boxes of any kind so these were a thrill - lol!

A summer essentioal is this beautiful beach towel - can't imagine why she chose birds!  Wink

Check out these Bride of Frankenstein earrings - representing her favorite holiday - HALLOWEEN!  I will, however, be sporting these year round.

I didn't get an individual shot of the "essential to your favorite craft" butterfly fabric - but you can see it in the group shot - and something with her favorite animal on it was a sheep (she raises them) on a punch needle kit.  I've never tried this before but I will soon!!  And something drinkable is this delicious looking tea - yum!

I also got a bonus of a packet of heirloom tomato seeds - so exciting especially because tomatoes seem to be the only thing I can grow with any sort of success around here!
PHEW!  I told you this was awesome - thanks a million MissingWillow - this was just too great!!!!

I know there have been a bunch of these posted - and I made lots of these at Christmas - mostly in sets of threes, but this time I thought I'd just keep on going til it got a little to tricky to manipulate on the machine.  Wink  So here you have it - seven cloth baskets (that I just can't seem to stop making!)  Wink  OH!  And the little felted owl is one that my daughter made me for Valentine's Day.  Smiley

And this one is a bit blurry - but gives you an idea of the colors!  Smiley

Thanks for checking this out!!

I received from knickertwist on Saturday - and feel terrible that I haven't gotten the pictures up yet!!  On top of that I don't think mine came out too great - (funny how a three year old holding the zoom lense in while its trying to get out will do things to a camera) Roll Eyes  Anyway - knick - please post some better ones if you can - I really want everyone to be able to see how awesome this is!!

Okay - so after a long journey from Canada Wink - this is what arrived -

The cutest little fairy town you ever ever in your life have seen!!  So many little detail - and it is TEENY!! The tallest house is only an inch high!!!  So completely 100% adorable!

I also got a super cute little clothespin queen (horrible picture - so sorry!) and an awesome little journal all stitched together with some treasures inside!

Thank you so much Knickertwist - you are the craftiest of all crafters - loved doing this swap with you!

39  The Queen of Knick-Knackery in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by thisbirdsabsurd on: March 05, 2011 09:19:20 PM
-AKA cackle.  Wink  At least that is a nick name her husband has given her, so when we were partnered up for the Very Important SOB swap, I just couldn't resist.  She's the same basic pattern as my Mother Earth doll, but covered in "Knick KNacks" and with a different face, (embroidered) and hair do.  So....here she is!
