111  Little old elf ornament in Winter Holidays by thisbirdsabsurd on: December 12, 2009 01:05:54 PM
Okay - I made this little guy for the ornament swap.  He's polymer clay and his clothes are made from a little pair of knit gloves.  Smiley

I guess badpuppy has gotten whisked up in the holiday rush - I sent this out about a month ago so I'll post what I sent to her.  I hope everything's okay with you badpuppy!

I think Homerof2 was having some light issues with her pictures - so here's the ornament she received from me.  It started as an idea from her wist and just went a little crazy from there! Cheesy

114  OH MY!! A Sewing Kit! in Completed Projects by thisbirdsabsurd on: November 27, 2009 11:00:18 AM
Per request I'm posting a Pic of a sewing kit I put together for a recent craft swap.  It's based on an Elinor Peace Bailey pattern that I lost long ago - but I think it's pretty close - I winged it this time.  Needles are stashed under the curtains, scissors in the toilet tank, safety pins under the lid, a seam ripper in the tp roll and there's a pocket in the back for thread, measuring tape and misc.  Smiley

Woot! Woot!  There's nothing more exciting than a box at your front door!  I had an armload of groceries and couldn't bring myself to put them all away before I ripped it open! Cheesy  Behold - this is what I received from Retroeva!
First, a group shot: Notice my Merry Christmas banner that doesn't quite fit in the picture - awesome.

Now some individual shots - festive holiday wear for the dogs (Ninja volunteered to pose)

Next we have a hilarious tote bag that my karate daughter has laid claim to:

And some "Team Jacob" bracelets for my other Twilight obsessed daughter (she recognized them as hers immediately!)

A cute Wild Things inspired onesie for my new grandson:

A little painted bird house - look how cute this owl is!

And my very very favorite quilted table mat (is that what we shall call it Eva?) LOL - She said it started out as a table runner but she thinks it ended up as more of a wall hanging.  I think it will still work nicely on the table though so..... Its awesome

Thanks a million Retroeva - I know it had to have been a struggle getting this swap together with a brand new baby being born smack in the middle!  This has really been great fun!

Oh good grief - I've edited this twice - keep leaving things out.  Had to show you all a shot of my sparkley fun stocking too!

these packages have all been amazing.... but my tired old eyes are really having a hard time discerning what the actual stockings look like.....  any chance of getting shots of just the stockings?  I would especially like to see the curly toed one.

Thanks everyone!

Well - its not the curly toed one...but here's the one I sent tor Retroeva Cheesy

WOW - I hit the jackpot - TWO ornaments in my mailbox today!!!!

First a REALLY sweet ornament from Homerof2 - I'd love to be able to do this kind of thing....

and next - a very cool sparkley fish from camelama - and the funny thing is, I bought a sparkley fish ornament years ago and along the way one of our puppies snacked on it and I was so sad - but now I have a new one! Cheesy

Thanks so much!  Yours are on their way - hope you like them as much as I like mine!!!

Retroeva - soooo glad you liked everything! (I made the little gargoyle first and he sat hanging over the edge of my shelf overseeing the rest of my projects - haha)  - I can't see the pics either - glitch in the system maybe.  I'm posting a really bad picture of the advent calendar - but it will give an idea.  I think a few people had one like it on their wists.  Can't wait for you to get to the 25th - that box has my favorite prize.
