This is quite possibly not the right place for this - but close enough I think! 
I've been playing around with the idea of making a stringer of fish- in fabric - ever since I saw some carved out of wood on Etsy.  I loved the idea of having them hang on the wall somewhere, so I devised my own plan.  These are made of canvas - gessoed and then painted with acrylics and textile medium.  The paint is kind of shimmery and I intentionally frayed the edges on the tails and fins - just cause it kinda gave them a look I was going for.
  All done - I gave them hooks and strung them up - ready to hang. 

I received an incredible package from erica_tattoos yesterday!!  It started out with a Gorey-rrific note complete with rhyming alphabetical silliness!  So fun!  First out of the box was The Wanton from "The Fatal Lozenge".  Spot on Erica!!  For those that are unfamiliar, the passage that goes with the illustration is: The Wanton though she knows the dangers. Must needs smear kohl about her eyes, And wake the interest of strangers, With long-drawn, hoarse, erotic sighs.

Next comes the "Black Doll" - totally, inexplicably creepy.  Erica added a bell because she said,"He told me he needed it".  MUAH-HA-HA-HA-HAAA!

And last but certainly not least - this bracelet with the man himself along with several Gorey-esque charms!  Check out this ingeniously improvised Doubtful Guest!

I participated in the Edward Gorey swap, and made this for my partner.  The Gashlycrumb Tinies (for those not familiar) recounts the tragic demise of 26 children (in alphabetical order.)  The cover of that book is a classic Gorey illustration - the reaper surrounded by the kids.
  AAAAAANYWAY... here he is - about 16" tall, fabric and sculpey.  His umbrella is stiffened fabric and he has a loop on his back so he can hang on the wall.

The flash was a little bright - in case you can't tell, that's a little tea cup over the Mad Hatter's door!    (And a couple little birds sitting out back!)

-After finding that my log pillows seemed to be in demand I thought I might try my hand at something a little different.  I figured maybe this one lends itself more to propping yourself up after a long day at the saw mill.    It's pretty chunky - about 12" across, 15" or so high.  Maybe not for everyone's home decor...but I think it's kinda fun. 

-I made this for the Vintage Halloween swap, inspired by some smaller vintage owls.  He's about 12" high, made of fabric and covered in (gulp) glitter.  The eyes were an accidental find, but I can't imagine any other use for those buttons than owl eyes!

And then finally - this fantastic crow - all ready to party down on Halloween!  I love his little pedestal!

  This horrid little baby grew too big for her little tin and had to be moved into a larger tin.  Look at her sweet little pillow and covers - so unassuming - but those baby snakes hint at something more sinister...

As part of the Wicked Child tin Swap my partner picked "The Grand High Witch" from "the Witches" by Roahld Dahl.  Now everyone KNOWS that real witches are bald - so of course my child had to be bald!  The number 86 (at the top and on the bottle) refer to Formula 86, which turns people into mice.

Hooray!  Hooray!  My package from camelama has arrived!!  It was full of goodies so I'll start off with the extras - including a couple of things from Archie McPhee, which just happens to be one of my favorite quirky stores!!

Next we have this fabulous reusable grocery bag!  Love this fabric!

None of you can possibly appreciate this next thing - sachets filled with organic lavender that camelama picked herself!   Mmmm-mmmm!

And last but not least, a cute little bird toy - my cockatoo took an interest in it before I even had a chance to hang it up!!
