1  Re: Yet Another TM Patch Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gamemom42 on: April 26, 2014 02:18:50 PM
I received from both my partners (one quite a while back ) but I've been having one of those "can't keep up with life" phases and I'm just now posting pics.

artsycandice sent patches based on my Christmas theme and my bees/honey/hives theme.  I adore them both and I feel terrible for not commenting as soon as I received them.  Candice, I love them so much that I took them to a celebration dinner and forced everyone there to hold them and admire them.  It's hard to make people who aren't into patches understand the appeal but your patches got lots of oohs and aahs that night.

goldensunshine sent three patches based on my themes of crows/ravens/vultures,  70's anything,  and bees/honey/hives.   Again; I love each and every one and couldn't even try to pick a favorite.  I will say though that I was especially thrilled to get the crow because this is the first patch I've gotten in that theme.

Thank you so much ladies and I'm really sorry I've been such an absent swap partner.  I'm still plugging away at your patches and should be able to make the new (thankfully later) deadline.

texscrapper claimed me for a dog bath apron.  I was going to save it for my daughter's Easter basket but about an hour after the mail came, Tara was talking about giving Runt a bath and I couldn't resist going ahead and giving it to her.  She's living at home while she finishes her masters so I'm used to seeing her come dripping out of the bathroom after doggie bath time.  She's a teeny little lady so the apron was perfect for covering her neck to toe.  It worked like a charm!

Summer also sent a big bag of buttons for my stash!!!  I love buttons so much.  I took a picture of my favorites; this is only about half of the buttons she sent.

Thanks so much Summer!

Last year I got something I thought I would never have; a big, bright, beautiful craft room all my own.  I have jokingly (well, sort of jokingly) called it Queen Teresa's Crafty Queendom since day one.  I realized that I needed signage to let everyone know what a magical arena they had entered when they stepped into that room and Jo_Mama claimed me for just that!  Check this out:

I can't even begin to describe how excited I was when I pulled this out of the box.  Even my husband was impressed and that's saying a lot.  Hobby Lobby has the perfect frame for this but it will take me a couple of weeks to get it.  I'll post another picture when it's framed and hung.

Thank you so much for painting for me Jo!  I feel so privileged to have one of your works of art.

I'm sure you all remember that wonderful jar of whimsies pincushion jar that Queen Ninja Monkey included in my package.  Here; at last, are the whimsies that were in the jar.

So many great little things!  What really got me excited were the terrific buttons in the jar.  Here are my favorites:

That carved orange button in the middle is a little larger than a quarter and is just beautiful in real life.  It's my favorite thing in the entire jar.

QNM:  I pulled the lip gloss, pretty flower paper clips, and the animal stamps out to go in my granddaughter's Easter basket.

Thanks again for a terrific swap!

I received a crazy generous package from sheepblue that had me scratching my head and wondering if I had joined a 10 point swap that I didn't remember.  Seriously; this is some ridiculous spoilage so get your pinning fingers ready.

First; she made this precious little dinosaur hat for one of my future grandbabies.  I love the color combo and the stitching is perfection.

Second; we have more crocheted goodness in the form of an EWOK SCOODIE!!!!!!!  Seriously; I don't even know what to say.  I wish I had an actual baby/toddler to model this but the best I can do is promise action shots in... oh, maybe three or four years?

Third; she made a whimsical Santa paintbrush ornament!  I give my assistant a Santa ornament each year for her collection and I'm so happy to have Christmas 2014 taken care of so early.  Sheepblue said the little wooly bits are from missing willow's sheep.

Fourth (yeah, there's more!); she sent this adorable trio of bee magnets for my bee/honey themed kitchen!  I love that these are not only cute, but also nice and strong so they're actually useful as well as decorative.

Fifth (getting ridiculous isn't it?); she sent FIVE! gorgeous TM patches!

I love every single one of those patches, but the Christmas one is my favorite:

Then I guess Sheepblue thought she didn't make enough stuff for me   Cheesy because she spoiled me with supplies as well!

A pack of ATC cards (I've been wanting to try my hand at those), a fun paint brush that you fill with paint!  (I've never seen that before), and a cute little zippered pouch full of fabric markers!

Sheepblue said she just started making things for me and she was having fun so she just kept on going.  Lucky, lucky me!  I realize I've used up my quota of exclamation marks for a year or so but who could blame me?

Thank you so much for being so generous and putting together such a fantastic package for me Sheepblue!

anna.wahnsinn claimed me for a dollhouse for my dollhouse and boy did she deliver!  I told her that it would be fine if the furniture in the house was just drawn or painted on the walls if that's the way she wanted to make it.  Well, she didn't take me up on that and instead made this incredibly detailed, teeny tiny little dollhouse for my dollhouse family!

Can you believe how perfect it is?  Even my husband was very impressed and that's really saying something.

Every time my granddaughter gets to come to my house (which isn't very often  Sad), I have some little addition to the dollhouse for her to discover.  I can not wait til she looks in and sees this little beauty!

anna also sent a roll of fun tape and this pretty bee charm:

Thanks so so much anna!  I am in awe of your skills.

------------------------------------------------------------

And the goodies just keep coming!  Clemiesgirl claimed me for a Waldorf inspired Viking playset and made one that surpasses anything I could have hoped for!

My youngest daughter is a history buff with a love of Viking history in particular (among a few other periods and cultures).  As many of you know by now, I am working hard to fill a trunk with Craftster made baby things for one of these days when my two daughters have children.  I saw a playset like this on Pinterest and pinned it on my crafty wishes board never really believing I would be claimed for it.  I was so happy to be claimed and even happier when I unwrapped it and saw how wonderfully made it is.

Here are the three Vikings a little closer:

Thank you so much clemiesgirl for making what will certainly be a treasured keepsake.

OH MY STARS!  I love those American Girl doll clothes gaudiknight!  I don't know what's wrong with me but I've been checking the wrong gallery and I'm just this minute seeing those.  I can't even believe you knitted a sweater for me! I absolutely adore everything you made and my granddaughter is going to flip when she sees them.  Thank you so very much!

I had gaudiknight post those pics for me because she had the clothes so beautifully wrapped and I hated to unwrap them before my granddaughter gets her hands on them.

As if those amazing doll clothes weren't enough, gaudiknight also sent me two wonderful little journals with button closures.

Aren't they pretty?  I'm not sure what I will use them for but it will be something very special because they are just so nice.

Thank you!!!

As promised; photos of my fantastic package from Queen Ninja Monkey.  I can't begin to tell you how happy this box of sunshine made me.

First, a group shot.  I flipped the pic from horizontal to vertical and somehow that made it into a mirror image... computers hate me.  Still, you can definitely tell how spoiled I was:

Now for close ups of the crafted bits:

A brilliant and bright needle punch sun!  This is going to have a very special spot in my craft room.  I adore it!

A jar of whimsies pin cushion!  This jar is jam packed with sunshiny goodness.  The mushroom pins have teeny white polka dots.  Honestly, everything about this is perfection.  (I'm saving going through my whimsies for tomorrow)

An oh so 70's smiley face ornament and 97...yes, 97 perfect origami stars!  The stars were just all over the place in the box and gave the whole thing such a wonderfully whimsical feel.  I wish I had taken a picture before I unpacked the box.

QueenNinjaMonkey, I am beyond thrilled with each and every thing you sent!  Thank you so much for putting together such a terrific package for me.

I would have been happy with anything I received in this swap, but I was really hoping for something I could use in my art journal... and that's what I got!  Crazyda79 made this wonderfully colorful piece and I love it.  It's on a very thin foam and will be perfect in my journal.

Thanks so much crazyda79, I love it!

Annchen claimed me for crocheted socks!  I was really happy to be claimed for these and had every intention of slipping them on my own little feet as soon as they arrived.  Well, when I saw them I knew (sadly) that they weren't meant for me.  Sure; they were made for me, but they are perfect for my oldest daughter in color, style, size... everything.  They will be one of the best Valentine gifts I've ever given her and she will be thrilled!

Aren't they perfect?  Thank you so much Annchen!

Gingerknitter claimed me this round too!  She claimed me for one thing and then decided to surprise me with something else.  Well, I can't tell you how happy I am that she changed the claim.  I have wanted this knights helmet forever!  This will go in the trunk I've started for my youngest daughter's someday child.  That daughter is a history teacher and has been obsessed with history all her life.  She is also obsessed with knitted and crocheted beanies so I'm collecting as many as I can for her future child/children.

It's really hard to get a proper picture of it without it on a head but hopefully you can tell how magnificent it is.

Thank you so much Gingerknitter!
