This is a pair of earrings I originally made for myself but my sister snarfed them

42  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Little Leaf Man on: July 10, 2009 09:38:07 AM
My mom gave me this calender for my birthday that shows seasonal leaves for every month with instructions how to make little leaf men with felt. I made a little holly man

I also made those little men with the kids in church and they loved it.
It's nice to use the leaves for seasonal decoration, maybe hanging them in branches or making a mobile with different ones.
43  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A polka-dotted sun hat for the hot & sunny days on: July 03, 2009 07:32:31 AM
I made this hat for the Virtual Vacation Swap and I'm quite proud of how it turned out.

I found the pattern in a Burda magazine. They used plaid fabric but I like the polka dots better.
44  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Simple blue dreamcatcher on: April 17, 2009 01:28:15 AM
I made this dreamcatcher for my 5-year-old godson

His favourite colour is blue, obviously. He asked me to make him a dreamcatcher for his birthday (which is in November) because he's had really bad dreams recently. Being a good godmother Cheesy I couldn't wait until November to do something against his nightmares.
45  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Aurelio Star - First try on: November 07, 2008 03:00:40 AM
I made this kind of origami star yesterday. In Germany, we call this kind of star aurelio star. It's a lot of folding and glueing and took me quite a while to finish, but I like the result Smiley What do you think?

Thanks for looking!
46  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Felted Mug Cozies - First try on: November 02, 2008 10:16:18 AM
I want to make my friend some mug cozies for Christmas. Here is my first try:

I used different kind of wool for each one. The left one didn't turn out that well. The wool wouldn't felt Sad At least I now know which wool to use best Smiley
47  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Facets of my hometown on: October 04, 2008 12:35:09 PM
I took some pictures of my hometown for a kind of scavenger hunt. Have a look!

Want to explore my town now? Wink
48  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / pink summer feeling necklace on: October 04, 2008 12:20:28 PM
I made that necklace some time ago. I really like shell jewellery - it looks so good on tanned skin. When I came across the pattern for that necklace I immediately fell in love with it. The pink beads are different glass beads, the yellow ones are wooden. Hope you like it Smiley

49  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / music themed t-shirts on: October 04, 2008 12:08:32 PM
hi everyone! I'm planning to make my sister a cool t-shirt. she's really into music, so I thought about something music themed. I made some very rough outlines. The first ones were just cassettes, cds, long-playing records and earphones. I ended up with a pug wearing earphones as my sisters loves pugs. so, what do you think? does it really look like a pug? or should I stick to the other objects? thanks!

First idea Smiley

A cassette tape with earphones

Top to bottom: long-playing record, cassette tape, cd, ipod with earphones

Mops is the German word for pug Smiley

I've just realized that it doesn't look like a pug at all Sad I've made some more outlines: Lots of pugs  Smiley

50  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / gifts for friends graduating from university... on: October 02, 2008 06:12:56 AM
Some of my friends are about to graduate from university soon. Since they're all leaving then to start their teaching career I thought it would be a good idea to give them something nice to take with them. I haven't had any good idea yet (as at the moment I'm working on my final thesis that is due in a few weeks), so if you have any idea, please let me know! Thanks!

Oh I forgot: I want to give them the same gifts and I want to craft them :-)
