41  hush little baby (now with "action shot") in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Ewulotta on: April 29, 2013 06:25:37 AM
Romper bags have been quite popular here for quite a while now and many people have recommended them to me, also my midwife. Since the pattern is quite simple, they're easy and quick to make. Basically all you need to do is to attach a waistband to a bag.

I used terrycloth for the inner bag, cotton for the outer bag and cotton jersey knit for the waistband.

Here's a picture of our little preemie girl:

She sleeps so so well in the romper bag!

42  getting ready to be a mommy - diaper wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Ewulotta on: April 29, 2013 06:12:29 AM
As we're expecting a first child in summer, I'm busy getting all the handy things together a soon-to-be mom needs. After searching online for diaper wallets  I made one based on all the different patterns I had found. So here's the result:

It has three pockets for baby wipes, diapers and maybe little books and one zippered pocket for baby care products like cream or baby care oil.

Unfortunately the zipper ist a bit short but I didn't have a longer one in this particular color at hand.
Hubby wants me to make another one - he doesn't like the flowery pattern - so I'll pay more attention the length of the zipper then.

43  Felt dreameries for the nursery in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by Ewulotta on: April 29, 2013 05:55:29 AM
Since we're expecting our first child in summer, we've made room for a nursery in our home office, so the baby shares room with the hubby. To make her part of the room cozy and snug I purchased those kits for cute felt decoration at a trade fair.

This one's a summer display (they had one display for each season but since the little girl will be born in summer I chose summer. Probably I'll get the others, too, because it is such a nice idea)

And this little garland is called "summer child" - so absolutely perfect!

Both kits are from a Dutch artist's workshop called Pippilotta. I so love her creations! Simply cute and adorable!

44  Filling up the baby's wardrobe in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Ewulotta on: April 29, 2013 05:38:45 AM
We're are expecting our first child in summer. Luckily my mum kept a lot of my sister's and my baby clothing so we don't have to buy too many things for the start. However, hobby sewist that I am, I can't keep my hands off making cute baby clothing. I have been waiting for this happy time for years Smiley

Here are some baby pants I made (bought the pattern online and love it - so simple and quick to make!)

First attempt

With a dala horse appliqu

This one's my favourite!

All pants are for 3m-6m.
I made a smaller one to go with a shirt I made before:

The pattern for the shirt is from the same shop.

Now I'm counting down the days for the little girl to arrive and to wear all the mommy-made clothes!

45  I must confess that I'm a SKIRT ADDICT in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Ewulotta on: October 25, 2012 11:30:29 AM
In summer I bought some patterns for yoga waistband skirts. Since then I've made some skirts for friends and also for myself. Now I don't want to wear anything else but skirts with yoga waistbands - so so comfy!
Here are my lovely skirts:

46  Baby Beanie Galore in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Ewulotta on: October 25, 2012 11:08:45 AM
One of our friends has become father recently. Unfortunately I'm quite busy with school and don't have much time. Nonetheless we wanted to send them something handmade  so it was a good opportunity to try my hands at baby beanies. I used those free Tie Dye Diva patterns (http://tiedyedivadesigns.blogspot.de/2011/02/free-baby-knot-hat-pattern-and-tutorial.html and http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2011/04/free-tie-top-beanie-pattern-jen-from-tie-dye-diva/) and once I had started I couldn't stop. I even made a beanie for my first baby (who has only been planned so far!!!). Anyway, here are some pictures:

I received a great supply package from noodle-bug a week ago. She threw in great fabrics (Amy Butler and tie-dye), lots of buttons, zippers and all kinds of ribbons. Thanks, noodle-bug!

48  Re: Make-a-Friend Swap Round 9 :: Summer 2012 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Ewulotta on: August 21, 2012 12:47:43 AM
I received a great package 3 from queenofmarigold a while ago but it completely slipped my mind to post the pictures. So sorry!

Here's my fabulous package 3

First of all an absolutely gorgeous granny square scarf. I love the style and the colours. Perfect for a scarf addict like me Smiley Now I'm desperately awaiting autumn to be able to wear my new scarf.

A granny square bag, so beautiful!

Look at this cute Totoro felt badge! I so love it!

Earrings and a tree of life pendant in my favourite colours.

And finally some yummy goodies. The kangaroo treats had already gone when I took the picture so that's only the empty bag. They were too yummy to survive Smiley Meanwhile also the FruChocs have gone!

Thanks, Danielle, for a great swap! I really enjoyed it!

49  Lavender fairy in Felting: Completed Projects by Ewulotta on: July 21, 2012 05:18:18 AM
Actually I'm not quite sure if this is the rigth board but since the project included some needle felting here it is:

It's my aunt's birthday and I wanted to make her a gift instead of buying something. Since she's a sewist (I learnt sewing from her) she usually makes lots of things for herself. Some years ago I discovered that fairy thing and I remembered that my aunt admired it. She even asked for a fairy but I hadn't made her one so that was the perfect gift!

Here's the lavender fairy I made for her

The fairy was inspired by http://www.cs-fantasien-aus-wolle.de/Indexger.html

I received a wonderful package 2 from queenofmarigold yesterday!

Here's everything together (except some lovely earrings which I was wearing when taking the picture)

Yummy TimTams (already gone by the way Grin), a knitting kit (as I want to learn to knit) including needles and yarn, a hoop, felt owl bookmarks (based on my pinterest) and a granny square pincushion (perfect because I haven't got any pincushion!)

I especially admire the hoop - not just because I'm not equipped with embroidery skills, but because the design is based on the game board of my favourite board game Settlers of Catan. Isn't that an awesome hoop?

The owl (corner) bookmarks are so so cute!

The lovely granny square pincushion

Thanks, queenofmarigold, for an awesome second package! I hope yours arrives sound and safe soon!
